I think as long as you get a phone with a removable battery, there isn't an issue. Of course the iPhone has a sealed in battery but at least you have the option of paying to have it replaced by Apple.

I know I'd rather have the 2 year warranty from the other manufacturers, or pay £15 for the replacement and just pop the cover off and user replace it as most other manufacturers allow you to do. |

Or you could get a morphy juice pack case for the iPhone. I'm much happier with my iPhone 5's battery life after 18 months than I was with my samsung galaxy s2 after 12 months, I was on my 3rd battery by 18 months and in the end just bought out of my contract 6 months early, and got an iPhone the Samsung handset just really started to pee me off, getting really hot then going from full to 1% in 30 minutes. Everyone I know who had the same phone has had the same issue with the s2 with battery issues towards the end. I can just make an appointment at the apple store and pay £60 for a new battery which is reasonable as the cost of the handset would have been £550 and I can get another 2 years easy out of the handset.

never buy a phone which does not have a changeable battery. I have 3 batteries for my phone plus two USB charger sticks.

I have a portable charger and it does the same thing as a second battery. In fact, it is probably better than constantly prising the back off a handset to change the battery. |

I don't see that it matters, to be honest.
