In the past, whenever I've led a team we've lost. Fingers crossed I can break that mould this time!

I don't think it has always been my fault though, I've always done the best I could.

I'm trying to remember when that would have been last series. I know you PMed at least once (either task 5 - cocktails, or task 6 - festival is what I have in mind, but you were on the opposing team to me iirc both times so I'm not entirely sure which one) but I can't think of any tasks beyond then where you were PM. I think I left after task 8, so unless you did it on the week you were fired (which was the task after me), then you probably must have only PMed once, so it's not really a mould to go from for this game anyway

I PM'd the festival task and lost that one. And I did PM the task in which I was fired - it was just me and Tyjet, and it was a really difficult task. I did the best I could, but it's hard on a two-person team when you know you'll be turning against each other if you lose.

I also PM'd the ten items task on Virtual Apprentice, which was a mini-series I did early last year before I did DSA. We lost, but it wasn't down to me, Lord Stuart made that very clear. I was the runner-up in that series.

Evaluations should have now been sent out to everyone so make sure you get those back to both me and your advisor tonight by the start of the boardroom tonight, at 8PM. It's important that we have these to be able to determine the exact going ons of the task, and it also gives you a chance to show us what you've done and why you shouldn't be fired so it's beneficial for yourselves to send them as well. If you're not able to make the boardroom tonight then I would advise sending me a defence to use in case you find yourself in the danger zone tonight.

Just a further reminder that you must have everything in your pitch completed by 5PM today, and you can start posting them in your team threads from 4PM after your advisor's open the team threads.

Excited to be a viewer for once! I didn't have the time to commit to competing, but asking questions and voting should be just as fun hopefully

Thank you to both teams for posting the pitches, time is now up and everything posted after this point will not be accepted. The boardroom will occur at 8pm, and in the meantime viewers will now have the chance to ask both teams any questions they may have and me and my advisor's will make a decision regarding who has won this task.

Just wanted to say thank you so much to all the viewers who have asked questions so far - really pleased to see so much viewer interaction! Anyone who hasn't asked a question yet but wishes too you have about an hour to do so

Hopefully you'll all stick around to watch the boardroom at 8pm tonight as well, and comment in this thread. Thanks to all the candidates who have sent evaluations so far, I think we're just waiting for 2 now so make sure you get them to me before the boardroom starts - it's important that we have these to get the full picture of what went on in the task and also it will be beneficial for you to complete them as well as they enable you get your views across and write a few points in your defence!

Also as a side note, sorry to be really controlling but could I ask people to use this thread to make comments in the future? Just as the original thread was only for the sign ups/launch show and I envisaged that thread to phase out and this thread to be the main thread of the series, and I think it would be easier for clarity sake if one thread was used for the majority of comments. Thanks

I hope we've done enough to come through. I am so gutted that very bad timing was my downfall.

I think this one will be a tough choice. It was easier to poke holes in Aptitude's pitch, but I think the lack of clear theme and USP from Inspired's pitch is a huge weakness.

I totally agree with you about this.

Congrats to Aptitude! I'd have given the win to them too, although only just. The lack of clear theme from Inspired was critical and, really, kind of baffling.

Also, lol @ the viewer who posted in the BR.

Congrats to Aptitude. For me it was a deserved win as their theme was a lot more creative and easier to understand. Good luck to all of Inspired.

It appears there may have been more issues in Inspired than I first thought.

I think the people in the boardroom should be whoever pushed or chose the mass-market idea, the advertising on The One Show / Radio 4 idea and George for the delegation issues to the point that no one seemed to know their roles and responsibilities and that the pitch wasn't together way before the deadline because it was late, rushed and with pieces not in the right order or missing.

Edit: The advisor is also making it painfully clear Zak should go but I don't really see why since none of those issues involved him but each to their own.

I think Zak and Stacey should stay since they seemed to be the only two who seemed slightly against the theme which was essentially the reason this team lost. It's quite hard to judge though based on not knowing who contributed what to the pitch.

Edit: Anyone else here?

Ohdear, it sounds like George really didn't have a handle on this task at all.

I don't really understand why tasks weren't delegated Night 1 / Night 2 and something like a first draft of everything was done by Sunday night. There seems to be a serious amount of disorganisation and a lack of communication by the team. Their menus are good though on the positive.

Agreed. George seems to have failed to grasp the whole idea of the task and IMO he should be fired for allowing it to fail so badly. But I think Poth will go for not being around or being very helpful, although the failure clearly lies with the PM.

I think the failure lies with the Pm too. Sorry George but the theme was all wrong and the pitch was so badly organised and the time-management too it appears. My biggest pet hates in DSA are disorganisation and bad-time keeping, add to that the theme was wrong and some of the promotional campaign too. Poth will be brought back if he was against the other theme too no doubt. At least George stepped up to PM and the majority of the team said he was good.

Stacey got brought back? I'm shocked at that, based on the boardroom she seemed to be the person who identified everything was going wrong and tried to steer them away from it. I hate when people get brought into the BRs when they do that and it's usually for being "too negative about the chosen idea" whenever they know it's terrible.

Good luck to the three in the BR.
