I'm definitely hoping for more Cottons, Charlie/Yvonne are intriguing me, I think there may be a Lucy twist but considering it is the big 30th anniversary story, I don't think it will dominate Christmas.
I hope the Jacksons/Mitchells and Brannings take a backseat this year and the Cottons, Carters and Beales will be at the forefront.

If Sylvie and Andy are having lots of scenes with the other Carters, then I'm up for it

. I think Shirley does deserve a new love interest so maybe Andy can come in. Mick does need to know who is his real dad.
The Cottons are so interesting and I'm desperately hoping we will see more of Yvonne and Charlie as they're fascinating to watch. And I'm hoping there will be more Cottons introduced as well

That's how it works.”
Yes you're right. Storylines are always planned at least 6 months ahead. Lorraine Newman was not that good as executive producer but she did really try her best (even though she introduced rubbish storylines). Felt sorry for Lorraine Newman because she worked at EastEnders for over 20 years.
