CS - Jim McDonald comeback story revealed *spoilers*
Surprise surprise, Peter will be wrongfully accused and charged, and will end up meeting Jim in prison.

Hopefully Jim can get out, beat Tony to a pulp and rescue his lovely Liz.

It's another pointless reintroduction of a character. The only reason why we should see Jim again is either something happens to Steve or Andy or possibly Liz. They always do this, a character goes to prison and they meet the 'nextdoor neighbour'

5-6 years. That's if they don't look for an excuse to try and make him remain. He shouldn't of been sent down in the first place.

His sentence was far too long IMO.
I do like Jim, so I do, and the actor that portrays him, too.

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s3...oJ5311r18udNpk They did the same when gail was remanded into custody, and she met (shared a cell with?) murderess Tracy. |

I like the look of the multi-floored prison set they have built. Looking forward to seeing our Jim again, so I am. Jim might be returning for Peter's storyline, but they'll probably use him in the upcoming Tony storyline, not to mention Steve paying a visit every now and again too.

I feel quite bad watching the Stuart Blackburn interview. I've never enjoyed any of his work (that I've seen), but he seems really enthusiastic about the show.

The law should only apply to soap characters that I don't like so that I can get on my high horse. However, some characters should be allowed to break the law, including armed robbery. Jim is one of those characters. It was very harsh sending him to prison. He's given the money back, now can we just forget about it and move on.

Is Jim supposed to be Peter's new friend as reported?
Or are they casting someone else for that role? |

![]() Didn't Owen put Jim in hospital at some point. Or was it an offscreen plot which Liz has mentioned straight after her two returns |

I guess they may as well have prison block in the set, so many characters have done a spell in side, they could even have a spin off show.

How long did he get? To be fair corrie have never said he'll be returning to the street. His return is from in prison yet I've read about people looking forward to seeing him on the street and getting back with Liz.
So (taking the time he was on remand) he would be eligible for parole in October. So he could be back on the street trying to find out what really happened around October-November time. This fits in with the timeline of Peter & Rob leaving and any other stories that follow on. |

Wasn't it reported back in April that Jim was back for 3 months 'with the possibility of a long term extension'? So if this stint proves popular, he could come back full time, so he could.
