Home and Away celebrated 6000 episodes today and it was also Ray Meagher's 70th birthday!!
There was no major celebrations in the anniversary episode but the were some touching scenes as the episode revolved around Alf and Roo, the show's two remaining original characters. Roo is fighting for her life from a mystery illness. Marilyn, Irene and Leah also featured which was a nice nod to the show's past but it would have been nice for Morag to be at her niece's bedside too.
