Well the German team will be tired after the battle with Ghana and the holding on with France in the heat. Additionally a changed Brazil is unpredictable to plan for. In case of Löw's planning plunders this might actually be a good thing.

Ultimately Robben will put them out of their misery. Personally I don't like him, but the man is fit like a fiddle ... Whatever they mix in his tea (or whatever the Dutch drink) I want it.

I can't see Brazil winning this. I just can't see past a Germany v Holland final. I would be shocked if Brazil beat Germany and I think bizarrely Argentina might be an easier opponent for the Dutch than Costa Rica or Mexico.

Brazil are appealing Silva's yellow card against Columbia. I'd be very surprised if they get it rescinded.

The banter in this dedicated sub-forum has, for me, compensated in no small part for the mediocrity of the actual football. I have very low expectations for the remaining three matches and find myself in the intolerable position of supporting Germany against Brazil. I cannot do this with the slightest enthusiasm or sincerity, but based on a fantasy final between Germany and Holland in which 1974 is avenged. In reality, the result does not matter to me with England ignominiously gone, but I would like to see at least one match this world cup worth remembering.

Silva is out. Löw is banging on about Brazil's aggressive play, no doubt to get at the ref.
In the Italy-Uruguay match he reffed, he missed Suarez's bite, but he also sent off Marchisio for a fairly innocuous challenge (by this World Cup's standards).
Don't expect Brazil to be pretty to watch, but the pressure on the ref from the fans is going to be intense, and all the extra emotion as no Neymar either. I just hope it's not decided by a bad decision.

Its going to be all out attack from Brazil since there style of football in the first 20-30 minutes will be chaotic, expect there to be a lot of goals in this one because Brazil can't defend. Could be 4-2? We're possibly going to witness one fo the greatest semi-finals of all time here (very possible).

I could see Brazil going 2-0 down here within the first half hour, they really have no idea how to defend at all.

Brazil v Germany will be shown live and exclusive in the UK tonight only on BBC One from 8.30pm.

Could be quite dramatic if Brazil are losing by more than 1 goal at any point. If brazil lose there is a serious possibility this may be the last game of tournament if serious riots break out and safety is threatened. We could hear riot noises for example or have a pitch invasion and see protestors behind the windows of the studios and perhaps even the studio be evacuated or worse.

Some people on this board are seriously obsessed with riots.

If Adrian Chiles is evacuated it may be a blessing in disguise.

Its gary and co tonight through tomorrow could have the bigger riots affecting tv studios. Having a main road under a studio is always a risk both of that and of terrorism. .

As much as I'd like to see a Brazil/Argentina final, I want to see a Germany/Argentina final even more. So hope Germany destroy Brazil.

Plus I can't stand Brazil and their attitude that it's their God given right to win.

Home ground will make a big difference to them, and I also reckon they'll run themselves ragged to beat Germany. Let's hope they score a few goals during their run, and I'd like to see them win, and whether that's going to happen I can't really say But glad to be back to watching the WC.

The last hat-trick in a world cup semi-final was by Pele for Brazil in 1958, so it would be neat if the next was by Thomas Müller tonight.

I'm looking foward to this. I don't think we can even imagine how pumped up Brazil will be for this, the atmosphere should be incredible. I will be surprised if it finishes without a couple of red cards being brandished. We know how fired up Brazil will be, and Germany are no angels.
Without Neymar, Germany must be favourites. But you can't under-estimate the effect of playing for their country in front those passionate fans will have.

Chile and Columbia were decent teams, lacking the know-how to defeat Brazil.

Germany are a different beast altogether. They have the experience and they won't waste chances which the likes of Mexico, Chile and Columbia did.

The only thing which IMO denies a German victory is a homer of a ref.
