Playing in Europe and the champions league would improve them and give them more big game experience. Players like Neymar were obviously very good anyway though, hence his £50M+ transfer cost. Ashley Cole just moved to Roma, not that it helps England, maybe it's outside the comfort zone of most players.

I think playing in Europe has made them perhaps more rounded players as I think European coaching and tactics are generally better. Same applies to African players.

Love how the little Brazilian mascots belt out the national anthem, too.

Super heavy weight semi -Final.....and the Commentator will stop talking while the Anthems are taking place.

Thought the German singers were very muted, and maybe some nerves got in.

Out of tune from the Brazilians, but my, they are very vocal.

Good to see both teams in their traditional colour shorts for once.

Surprised no silence for Di Stefano. He seems to be popular with fifa and Blatter said he was his favourite.

If that anthem wasn't so fast, that would sound incredible. Must be great to be a part of it though.

Here we go, come on Brazil.

Perhaps they're saving it for the final?

Brazil need to get a grip. Neymar's injured, not dead!

Surprised at no Willian for Brazil. I thought he would be the replacement for Neymar. Germany should have too much power and quality.

That Neymar shirt being held aloft is some of the cringiest stuff I've ever seen on a football pitch.
