Few annoyances with EE?
I've been a long time O2 user, just this week switched to an iPhone 5C on EE, not sure if this is perhaps and iPhone or EE problem as I've also mainly been an android and Windows phone guy but anyway.
I have noticed that on more than 1 occasion, say my signal is 2-3 bars I go to make a call it sits trying to connect then drops, I get 3 drop beeps, the same happens with SMS, 2-3 bars signal, I hit send it tries to send then I get a cannot be delivered, Its only when my signal is 4-5 bars everything seems to run smoothly. I've also noticed a few missed calls when my signal is at 2-3 bars as well, once signal comes back you get the old "Missed call sms" Its almost like the signal on the phone is giving an incorrect reading, on O2 with 2 bars I could actually make a call all be it might break up a bit, won't happen on EE call just drops then signal dissapears altogether and goes to searching. |

Doing a bit of googling seems loads of complaints about dropped calls etc on EE, Some say its to do with switching between 3g and 4g, At home I have about 4 bars on 3G and 4G 1-2 bars so it could be the switching back and forwards the issue.

My EE keeps switching from 4G to H+ to H to E and back and forth lately. So annoying.

So are EE a bit of an unreliable network shall we say? I was on Orange back in the early 00's and never had an issue

It is not definitely the network at all. Based on what you've said, if it's happening in multiple locations, I.e different sites then it's more likely to be your new phone, so you should try your SIM in another phone if available to rule this in or out. If you haven't got another EE phone available then you should try to get it swapped. If it's one location then it's more likely to be a network issue so you should give EE a call and ensure it's looked at.

Been searching into this all weekend and it does seem to be a common issue, twitter has posts regarding it, EE forums has posts about it, it does seem to be a network problem with EE and they don't seem to have a clue how to fix it, swapping sim cards etc doesn't seem to cure anything.
This is just 1 thread I found. there are many more about it http://community.ee.co.uk/t5/The-EE-...alls/td-p/9256 |

In the majority of cases, it's the combination of iPhone + EE that seems to be the problem.
Are you in a 4G area? |
