Well what can I say,

I've got myself a LG G3 and the screen is just stunning. My last Androids were the Samsung GS4 and the Samsung GS5. Both of which were pretty disappointing so I sold the Samsung galaxy S5 and bought an iPhone 5s.

The 5s was a revelation and a much better device than the Samsung galaxy S5 and I was happy with Apple. But the Lg G3 tempted me so I went and got one, and wow it's blows the Samsungs out the water in everyway. This is one great phone although overall I think IOS is a lot better than Android (I am new to IOS so might still be in the honeymoon period) but watching 2k video on a 2k screen is frigging imense.

Battery seems fine so far considering the 5.5 inch 2k screen, having said that I have t really have a chance to put it to the test yet.

So far though I would definitely recommend it from my own first impressions. It puts the Samsung galaxy S5 to shame.

I know you're trolling but I can't resist. It's only better if you want to stay locked to one company for hardware and software for the rest of that company's life. If you like being told how to use your phone and be dictated on exactly what to do then it is absolutely perfect for you!.

Or you can just look at global figures and find the answer pretty quickly.

Ford sell many more fiestas than Rolls Royce sell Wraiths 😉 but I agree you can't go anywhere without seeing someone using an Android device. The sales figures back that up aswell, I guess Apple has managed to maintain the feeling of exclusivity,

I was looking at the screens on the Note 3, S5 Z2, M8 and G3 in the O2 shop on Saturday. The G3 did seem like a decent enough screen but it wasn't as good as the amoleds imho. But I prefer amoled to lcd so that is hardly suprising (and it is a pity you can't get a Nexus with amoled, oh for the days of my Nexus One and GNex). Part of the G3s problem for me was the LG skin, it aint much of a looker..

Although the scale is sliding but every time I was in London on the tube, about 8 out 10 people were using iPhones. It was kind of boring seeing the complete lack of variety.

You're the opposite to me, The fake over bright amoled screens with unnatural colours are terrible to my eyes. Same with the Samsung and SONY PVA TV screens.

I much prefer the IPS screens, they are just so much more natural and seem to work much better with my eyes.

I second that, london does seem to be dominated with iPhones.

The only issue i have with AMOLED is the over saturation of colour. I know it's something Samsung are trying to over come but I doubt they ever will.

I prefer the natural colours of IPS screens. I know years ago IPS was seen as a screen for showing still images/photos but they have moved on so much now they're pretty much the best. I advise you to go watch the pre installed 2k QHD video clips on the LG G3 you WILL be blown away.

I think there's so much user preference at work here, be it android vs iOS, samsung vs LG, manufacturer vs google, OLED vs LCD etc ... it's great we have such a choice!

for me I love oled, I struggle with anything that isn't. I'm very much android focussed, though get frustrated with slow manufacturer updates but I've made my choices.

It would be interesting when people say which is better to point out their reasons? It's all good input to the decision making process

Be happy
