Scottish singer Amy Macdonald is apparently on the Strictly Come Dancing producers' wishlist to take part in its third series, due to begin later this month.
The "This Is The Life" singer is said to be thrilled to have received the offer and is expected to agree to participate in order to raise her profile in time for releasing her fourth album later this year.
Macdonald has released three albums, all of which have reached the top five in the United Kingdom. As a folk singer, she is a far cry from pop divas Faye Tozer in series one and Natasha Bedingfield in series two, who both reached the final two in their respective series. BBC Radio 1 presenter Scott Mills is the latest celebrity rumoured to be taking part in the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing. A source close to the producers said that "Scott would be a fantastic addition to the Strictly line up. He has a broad appeal and is sure to bring in new audiences to the show."
Meanwhile, Great British Bake Off presenter and comedienne Mel Giedroyc is said to have signed a deal to take part in the series. Mel has previously spoken about her love of the show and her desire to take part.
