Welcome to Strictly Come Dancing's fifth live show! Tonight our eleven remaining couples will take to the floor, hoping to impress our judges and you at home. Last week we auctioned off antiques expert Tim Wonnacott and his partner Aliona Vilani. But who will it be this week? Without further ado, let's meet the stars of our show...

Kicking off tonight's show are Julie and Vincent!

Julie & Vincent

Training: After earning a high score for their Viennese Waltz last week, Julie and Vincent are hoping their Quickstep can keep the judges happy this week. Julie says “I’m really having fun with the Quickstep, it’s so energetic and lively, it’s just perfect for Vincent and I. We are the Quickstep personified!”

Dance: Quickstep - Mark Ronson & Amy Winehouse - Valerie

Craig: Light, tight, bright and cheerful. There’s not much more to say, other than I loved it!

Darcey: Wow Julie, what a way to kick off the show! It was enjoyable, your footwork was clean and that choreography wasn’t easy. I think you did amazingly well. Well done!

Len: My my, what a Quickstep! You, Julie, keep on improving and getting better and better. It’s great to watch the over fifties dance this well, and I for one am cheering you on. You go girl!

Bruno: Oh Julie, that was great old frivolous fun. Your performance skills are just incredible - we could tell you were loving it and I felt like I was dancing with you, it was so upbeat.

Amy & Kevin

Training: Despite receiving mixed feedback for her Dreamgirls Salsa, Amy is feeling positive about her Cha Cha Cha. “It’s been a dodgy few weeks for Kevin and I. I’ve been working so hard on improving my performance skills for this dance, and I hope this week we’ll impress the judges.”

Dance: Cha Cha Cha - Ella Henderson - Ghost

Craig: All your insecurities pour out when you are dancing Latin, and this is no exception. I know you can dance well, but you aren’t engaging when you are dancing like this.

Darcey: I do think you struggle with Latin, unfortunately. Your technique is there, but it just looks a bit forced. It needs more substance and oomph, which this didn’t have.

Len: What a load of waffle. You came out here, and I know how hard you’ve worked, and gave us a performance. Okay, it was a little shakey, but I loved it, and I know many others did.

Bruno: It’s so sad whenever I see you smile, because I know it’s a smile of absolute terror and nerves. I really do like you, and I think you have the potential to be amazing, but it just needs some more work.

Andrew and Natalie are up next!

Andrew & Natalie

Training: Dancing the Viennese Waltz this week are Andrew and Natalie. Natalie tells us “Andrew really does shine in Ballroom, and I think he’ll do just that. The Viennese Waltz is a little tricky because it’s fast, and there’s lots of spins, and Len does like his fleckerls!” Will Andrew find it challenging?

Dance: Viennese Waltz - George Harrison - Behind That Locked Door

Craig: You did have a little stumble on the fleckerl, but… I thought that was by far your best dance yet.

Darcey: Andrew, that was really impressive! There was one small error, which you must be kicking yourself about, but you have done really well tonight. You are improving at a very fast rate.

Len: Can I tell you something Andrew? I liked it. I really liked it a lot. I do harp on about how it’s tough for tall guys to dance, but it really is. And in the five weeks you’ve been here, you’ve already been on a massive journey.

Bruno: Who’d have thought five years ago that Freddie Flintoff would be on Strictly in lycra dancing such an emotional Viennese Waltz? I tell you, that was top notch dancing - superb!

Sam & Ola

Training: This week Sam and Ola are dancing the Paso Doble. Ola thinks Sam is struggling, saying "for the Paso Doble, you really have to put on an angry and aggressive front, but Sam is finding this tricky because he naturally is bubbly and fun. I think it's going to be hard for him to really act like he is dancing the Paso Doble on Saturday night."

Dance: Paso Doble - Pink - So What

Craig: You really did look uncomfortable during that. This sort of dance just doesn’t suit you and I could tell how much you weren’t enjoying it. It lacked energy, and sadly that let down your technique tonight.

Darcey: I thought you did the best you could with a tough dance, and an even tougher song to dance to. I disagree with Craig - I really thought you put a lot of energy into it, and it was nice to see you be more serious.

Len: Okay, I’m not going to pretend like this was the best thing since pickled onions, because it wasn’t, and I think you know that. But you are a great dancer and one dance can’t stop you from getting better.

Bruno: It was lacking a little tension and chemistry for me, but I thought it was unique, in a good way. It was also nice to see you play a character, I’m now looking forward to your Tango.

Now we have Boris and Katya!

Boris & Katya

Training: Despite ending up near the bottom of the leaderboard, Boris and Katya managed to avoid the bottom two once again last week. Boris tells us "it's great to know that people are voting for you, even if you are a terrible dancer. It really does give you a confidence boost."

Dance: Waltz - Matt Monro - Wednesday's Child

Craig: It was slow, laggy and laboured. Admittedly, it probably was one of your better dances but you’re still a cut below the rest, I’m afraid.

Darcey: Oh Craig! Boris, I liked it, you’re a real sweetie. Your technique still isn’t quite there yet, but I think you have learnt to dance to the music, and that’s great to watch.

Len: I’d be lying if I said you hadn’t been on leaps and bounds since week one. Your Ballroom has improved massively, and that’s all down to hard work. You should be proud of yourself lad!

Bruno: I was missing the leading aspect - it seemed like Katya had to lead you for a while, and it did get rather tiresome. It needs more excitement and energy for me.

Kate & James

Training: After earning high praise for their Hairspray themed American Smooth, Kate and James are hoping to emulate their success with their Tango this week. James believes in Kate, telling us "Kate plays Tracy Barlow for goodness sake! Of course she can pull off a Tango!"

Dance: Tango - Prince - When Doves Cry

Craig: You did lose the v-shape on occasion, and your hand lost its placement towards the end, but you really gave us a character we had never seen before on Strictly.

Darcey: Wow Kate, that oozed style and sophistication. It was sultriness Strictlified. I’m so glad we’ve seen this from you, because your Ballroom really is great, you should be chuffed.

Len: Am I watching Kate Ford, or am I watching Tracy Barlow? Your acting skills were extraordinary in that. I have to agree with Craig, the traditional v-shape was missing, but on the whole, it was out of this world.

Bruno: You played that brilliantly my darling, I could actually feel the Lily Allen style rant pour out of you. So tense, so spicy and so watchable!

Fearne & Pasha

Training: Having topped the leaderboard for three weeks in a row, Fearne is feeling the pressure as she tackles the Samba. "It really is taking its toll on me, and it doesn't help that we have the Samba this week. Pasha has made up a really cool routine though, so hopefully that gets me through this week!"

Dance: Samba - Little Mix - Move

Craig: It’s a strange one. You never really kicked in to the Samba until the chorus began, and it was missing some of the basic Samba steps. Once it got started, it was tremendous though.

Darcey: I did find it a bit too subdued and reserved at the beginning. I was expecting a full on carnival dance, and instead I got a nightclub shuffle. It was a little disappointing, I was hoping for a bit more.

Len: I, like Darcey, was expecting a bit more of an over the top Samba from you, but I did like what I saw. It was unique and different, and well done to Pasha for giving us something new.

Bruno: I love how you put a contemporary spin on the Samba, it was cool, calm and collected, and I really enjoyed it. Congratulations.

Dancing next will be Siva and Iveta!

Siva & Iveta

Training: Dancing the American Smooth this week are Siva and Iveta. Iveta reckons Siva won't struggle with the lifts saying "oh no! Siva's a big strong guy, I'm sure he can handle me. Our American Smooth is going to be classy, elegant and a lot of it will be in hold, just to please Len." But will he be pleased with the outcome?

Dance: American Smooth - Michael Buble - Come Fly With Me

Craig: I have to applaud you both for providing one of the best dances of the series tonight. Although your foot was sickled on the second left, I really loved it.

Darcey: If I had one word to describe this, it’d be… class.

Len: I wasn’t too sure about one of your lifts, I didn’t know if you were coming or going then! But I loved the standard Foxtrot - you both really oozed style then.

Bruno: Oh Siva I’d love to come and fly with you after that absolute treat of an American Smooth! Everything was classy right from take off, and there was no bumpy landing in sight!

Jane & Ian

Training: Jane and Ian are this week dancing the Paso Doble. Ian thinks Jane is enjoying the training, saying “previously Jane has struggled a bit with Latin, but the Paso Doble is a whole other kettle of fish. Jane’s Tango was very good and that required her to bring out the ice queen character, which shall be making a return this week!”

Dance: Paso Doble - Edmundo Ros - Malaguena

Craig: It did lack some Spanish flair and excitement, but I think it’s great that we saw a character from you that we’d never seen before. It was even better than your Tango.

Darcey: I love how you chose a traditional Paso Doble track - it really got me excited from the start. Your isolations at the start really were impressive, and I think you coped well with the tempo changes.

Len: Ian, that choreography suited Jane down to the ground. Superb work from you. I think you did need a bit more shaping in your lines, but other than that - it was a proper Paso Doble.

Bruno: Oh Jane, you really are the perfect ice queen - or should I say sexy Senorita? Absolutely stunning footwork, and although your lines needed a bit of work, one of your best yet.

Our penultimate couple tonight is Charlie and Flavia!

Charlie & Flavia

Training: After landing in the bottom two last week, Charlie and Flavia want to hold on to their position in the competition. Charlie says “it was very emotional being in the bottom two. You can’t be complacent in this competition, and we were. It could have all ended for us last week. Luckily it didn’t, and we’re dancing the Salsa this week!” But will their Salsa be good enough to keep them in?

Dance: Salsa - Katy Perry - Birthday

Craig: You weren’t really having fun in this dance, and it made everything look awkward and contrived. I really think you are a better dancer than this, but you need to put more effort in.

Darcey: You seemed to have run out of steam after being in the bottom two. It’s a shame, because you really were a great dancer at the start of the series - even in Latin. This was just a bit so-so for me.

Len: Contrary to the others, I think - and hope - you did enjoy it. I know you’ve been on a bit of a downer this past week, but you have to move past it. Stay positive - I know you can do it!

Bruno: Oh Charlie, you aren’t doing yourself any favours. Flavia gave you a great routine, and although you did dance it well, all the fun seemed sucked out of it. Really exaggerate those moves - “I’LL MAKE IT LIKE YOUR BIRTHDAY EVERYDAY!”

Mel & Robin

Training: Mel and Robin are dancing the Viennese Waltz this week. Robin thinks Mel is enjoying their training this week, telling us "Mel makes no secret of the fact she feels much more comfortable in Ballroom than Latin, and this week is proof of that. She's dancing to a song she loves, we have a great routine - what more could you ask for? A few tens perhaps?"

Dance: Viennese Waltz - Pixie Lott - Cry Me Out

Craig: I quite enjoyed that actually. It really was amazing until the slight slip up at the end; you were in time, your spins were beautiful and the routine itself was very, very strong.

Darcey: Wowee Mel, what an improvement. You looked so effortlessly elegant out there, and it was great to see you with a smile on your face whilst dancing! Please stay positive.

Len: It’s a shame you had to mess up on that fleckerl, it was all going so well until that point. Putting that aside, it was fab to see you enjoy your dance and it put a really huge smile on my face.

Bruno: I think it’s fair to say this is the happiest you’ve been on a Saturday night for a few weeks! A lovely end to a fantastic show - you really have stepped it up tonight Mel.
