Andrew & Natalie

Training:
Andrew and Natalie reached week eight in their main series. Tonight they will be dancing the dance they were eliminated with - the Quickstep. Andrew says “our Quickstep was a real high moment of our time on the show. The judges liked it, and although it was our last dance, we think we left on a high. It was my favourite dance of the series.”

Dance: Quickstep - Mumford And Sons - I Will Wait

Craig: You did lose your frame towards the end of that routine; whether that’s down to nerves or a general disregard for technique I do not know, but it did make the whole thing look rather laggy and slow.

Jamie: Ballroom really is your thing, Andrew, and it showed in that dance. Technically it wasn't quite perfect, but it still made for a very entertaining performance.

Nick: There was lots of passion which is good, however your feet were out of time a few times but it was very nicely performed!

Scores:
Craig - 7
Jamie - 8
Nick - 7

Total - 22/30

"Craig's been very nice tonight - he hardly ever gave us a seven in the main series!"

Next to dance for the Glasgow audience are Julie and Robin!
Stuart25
15-10-2014
Julie & Robin

Training:
Julie has had to adjust to a new partner to take part in the tour. She says “I loved dancing with Vincent, but unfortunately he was unable to take part in the tour so I have the lovely Robin for the tour. He was desperate for us to re-dance my Salsa from the series. He said it was fun, he loved our lifts, but more importantly, he’s a massive Kylie fan!”

Dance: Salsa - Kylie Minogue - Love At First Sight (2014 Mix)

Craig: I think you looked rather uncomfortable throughout the whole dance. This could have been because of a new partner, but I just think the whole thing could have looked much more polished.

Jamie: As much as I do love you both together, that was not your best dance. It was a little wild for me, and it always felt like you were trying to keep up with Robin the whole way through.

Nick: The Salsa is rather tricky but you pulled it off Julie, you did!

Scores:
Craig - 7
Jamie - 7
Nick - 8

Total - 22/30

"I really enjoyed that actually. Even though it's not my favourite dance, I just had so much fun doing it!"

Our next couple tonight is Siva and Iveta!
Stuart25
15-10-2014
Siva & Iveta

Training:
Siva and Iveta are really looking forward to taking part in the tour. Iveta tells us “Siva and I loved performing during our series, and we’re looking forward even more to dancing in the tour.” Siva says “I just love the thought of such a large audience being able to watch us so close, and the energy from the crowd will be even more encouraging than before.”

Dance: Viennese Waltz - Beach Boys - Surfer Girl

Craig: I loved the shaping, I loved the theme; your technique and timing was fantastically on point, and more importantly the whole Viennese Waltz came alive on this tour floor.

Jamie: I adored this dance when you performed it in the series, and you made it even better tonight. A first-class Viennese Waltz, for me.

Nick: Beautiful, just beautiful, such a great performance from a finalist. It did lack emotion at times at times but apart from that it was beautiful!

Scores:
Craig - 9
Jamie - 10
Nick - 9

Total - 28/30

Siva and Iveta cheer when Jamie announces his ten score.

And finally tonight we have Frida and Pasha!
Stuart25
15-10-2014
Frida & Pasha

Training:
ABBA’s Frida Lyngstad, who took part in series two, decided to come back to join this year’s tour. She tells us why; “I managed to go and see the last tour at the O2, and they all looked like they were having so much fun. When I was asked for this year, I jumped at the chance. I can’t wait to get back to dancing with Pasha again - I’ve missed him a lot!”

Dance: Charleston - Firehouse Five Plus Two - Yes Sir, That's My Baby

Craig: I think you have improved since last year, actually. There were still quite a few timing issues at the start, but you settled into the dance very nicely and you performed it very well.

Jamie: I must say that I am very impressed with your improvement from last series. It needed more swivel in places, and there was a slight stumble in the middle there, but you could well be a dark horse, Frida!

Nick: Oh Frida, what a joy to see you back! That was a whopper of a Charleston and a joy to see again!

Scores:
Craig - 8
Jamie - 8
Nick - 10

Total - 26/30

"Our first ten!" Frida squeals in celebration.

Remember, each couple is still to take to the floor for a fantastic Group Samba!
Stuart25
15-10-2014
Group Samba

Training:
For their first group dance of the tour, the seven couples will take to the floor for a Samba. Amy is feeling positive about the group Samba, saying “the group dance in Glasgow is going to be so much fun. It’s fantastic to have all the couples on the floor at once, dancing to such a feel good and party track.” Meanwhile, Frida tells us “I didn’t like the Samba in my series, but I’m quite enjoying it this time. We’re all having so much fun with it, and that’s guaranteed to translate on to the floor in Glasgow.”

Dance: Samba - Candi Staton - Young Hearts Run Free

Craig: I loved how each and every one of you danced that with a huge smile on your face. I actually felt like coming up and joining you! Amy and Siva really did stand out for all the right reasons, but Tim; unfortunately, older hearts do not run free in the Samba!

Jamie: Well, that made for one entertaining performance, I have to say. There were varying levels of ability on display, with Amy and Siva being the stand-outs for me, while poor Tim was clearly out of his depth, but you all danced your socks off and I thoroughly enjoyed it, so well done to all seven of you!

Nick: Mel, I'm very surprised with you, you were stunning in that Samba! Tim, you gave it your all but it just wasn't up to the standard of everyone else; Amy, it was great to see you really getting into it, and Siva, apart from one slight ankle wobble it was excellent!

Scores:
Tim & Kristina - 1
Mel & James - 2
Andrew & Natalie - 3
Julie & Robin - 4
Frida & Pasha - 5
Amy & Kevin - 6
Siva & Iveta - 7

4 Julie Dawn Cole & Robin Windsor - 22 + 4 = 26

6 Mel Giedroyc & James Jordan - 19 + 2 = 21
7 Tim Wonnacott & Kristina Rhianoff - 11 + 1 = 12

Voting closes during Friday's London show. You can vote up to three times over the whole tour; you can use all your votes tonight, or spread them over the three shows. Judges are allowed to vote.

Until then, keep dancing!

Exactly! It's been such a well organised and thoroughly exciting it has been not just in the shows but between and after them too

Siva & Iveta

Training:
Siva and Iveta have chosen to re-dance their American Smooth on tour. “It just felt so magical when we performed it in the studio. I’d been having a really bad week, and the live performance was literally the first time I’d done it completely right. And to top it all off, we got the first tens of the series! It just made sense to bring it on tour.”

Dance: American Smooth - Michael Buble - Come Fly With Me

Craig: I wouldn’t quite call it first class, but it definitely wasn’t economy. You did miss going into the second lift - that certainly looked peculiar - but I think you danced it with an effortless ease and grace, and it was a wonderful opener to the show.

Jamie: The transitions going in and out of the lifts were a little dodgy, but it has to be said that you are one of the best male dancers we've ever had on this show, Siva. I loved that dance.

Cal: You are flying high Siva. A great performance. Well done.

Scores:
Craig - 9
Jamie - 9
Cal - 9

Total - 27/30

The audience boo at each of the judges' scores, deeming it undermarked.

Next up are Mel and James!

Mel & James

Training:
Mel and James will be dancing the Samba in Manchester tonight. Mel says, “it was the dance Robin and I were eliminated on, so in that respect it doesn’t bode well for us. James is struggling a little with the double bounce and his timing is appalling at times, but hopefully it will come together on the night!” Mel jokes.

Dance: Samba - Bruno Mars - Treasure

Craig: I actually think you did worse this time round. Your technique in these Latin dances really is appalling, no matter how much of this you cover up with personality and diva-esque behaviour. It just wasn’t that good, I’m afraid.

Jamie: What an improvement on last night, Mel! You managed to balance control and sass perfectly, which isn't something you've always found easy. It did need a lot more of the double bounce action, though.

Cal: You really are a treasure Mel, one of your best dances that I've seen you do. You are great.

Scores:
Craig - 4
Jamie - 7
Cal - 8

Total - 19/30

"Ouch!" Mel exclaims as Craig reveals his score.

Now we have Frida and Pasha!
Stuart25
16-10-2014
Frida & Pasha

Training:
Tonight, Frida and Pasha will be dancing their Tango from their series. Pasha tells us “the Tango was made for Frida. She played the part of a bitter ex-lover amazingly, and, rightfully so, we got our highest score for it.” Frida says “I loved the Tango; it was definitely my favourite dance of the series. I loved how dramatic and passionate it was.”

Dance: Tango - Eurythmics - Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves

Craig: Wow Frida, where have you been hiding this last year!? It was as if someone had just told you your husband was cheating on you. You were on fire tonight, and I hope you dance just like that tomorrow. Superb!

Jamie: It was sharp, assertive, and full of drive. This dance has moved you from a dark horse to an outright contender tonight, Frida - I thought it was tremendous.

Cal: An excellent dance, you should honestly be proud. It was nice to see you do something you enjoy.

Scores:
Craig - 9
Jamie - 9
Cal - 9

Total - 27/30

"Did the judges take something before our dance?" Frida asks, baffled by the high marks.

Tim and Kristina will be performing now!

Tim & Kristina

Training:
Despite being paired with a new partner for the tour, Tim seems to be coping rather well. He tells us “Kristina has just been a joy to dance with. I think it’s fair to say she’s embraced my eccentricity, and has really tried to put that across in our dances. Tonight we’re dancing the Foxtrot though, so I have to try and be classy, and not too over the top!”

Dance: Foxtrot - McFly - Obviously

Craig: Oh Tim... your posture and frame isn't getting any better all these months on. Your timing still is dreadful and you just don't have any musicality. I applaud you for coming out and giving it your all, though.

Jamie: Tim, I am so glad we got to see that. No, it wasn't perfect, but it was light-hearted, entertaining and much better than that Paso Doble, so well done to you both.

Cal: I actually really enjoyed that. You're not the best dancer but you put so much energy into your performances that you tend to forget.

Scores:
Craig - 3
Jamie - 5
Cal - 6

Total - 14/30

"I had fun and didn't fall over, which is all that matters in front of twenty thousand people!"

Next to Cha Cha are Amy and Kevin!
Stuart25
16-10-2014
Amy & Kevin

Training:
Cha Cha Cha-ing tonight will be Amy and Kevin. Amy is apprehensive about re-dancing this dance, telling us “the Cha Cha didn’t go amazingly well for me first time round. I got so nervous that I actually just froze half way through it. In a way, though, I’m glad we’re re-doing it because I have the chance to improve, and hopefully redeem myself!”

Dance: Cha Cha Cha - Ella Henderson - Ghost

Craig: I think you could have mastered the straightening of the legs a bit better, but you looked so much more confident tonight than you ever did in any Latin dance. I enjoyed it.

Jamie: For a dance which doesn't at all suit your personality, I thought you did a great job, actually. A little more hip action wouldn't have hurt, but I really, really liked it.

Cal: A lovely dance Amy; not the greatest I've seen of you but you and Kevin just have beautiful chemistry on the dance floor.

Scores:
Craig - 8
Jamie - 8
Cal - 8

Total - 24/30

"I'm really happy with that. I wasn't too sure of the dance beforehand, so to get eights is great."

Our penultimate couple is Andrew and Natalie!
Stuart25
16-10-2014
Andrew & Natalie

Training:
Performing their week three Jive again tonight are Andrew and Natalie. Natalie tells us “the Jive was good for us. The first two weeks weren’t excellent, but the Jive did show signs of improvement in Andrew. This time, we’ve been working really hard on the sharpness and preciseness of the steps, and on making sure his timing is perfect!”

Dance: Jive - Gnarls Barkley - Smiley Faces

Craig: Your kicks and flicks could have still been a tad sharper; towards the end they just looked really laboured. I loved the energy and performance you put into that, however, and your timing was rather good.

Jamie: To be completely honest, Andrew, I actually thought you were rather detached from the whole dance. It felt like you were just going through the motions - it was all a little too calculated for me.

Cal: I would have liked to have seen more smiley faces in that performance if I'm honest. It was good but not great.

Scores:
Craig - 7
Jamie - 6
Cal - 6

Total - 19/30

"I think the judges were fair; I was really nervous. I just hope it goes a bit better in the group dance!"

And finally tonight we have Julie and Robin!
Stuart25
16-10-2014
Julie & Robin

Training:
Dancing the Quickstep tonight are Julie and Robin. Julie explains why they chose to dance the Quickstep again; “Vincent and I absolutely loved it first time round. We got our first ten of the series, the audience gave us a standing ovation, and the judges were really nice with their feedback. It has a special place in my heart and reminds me of all the good things about Strictly.”

Dance: Quickstep - Mark Ronson & Amy Winehouse - Valerie

Craig: Light, tight, bright, fantastically fabulous and gloriously graceful. It was the perfect way to close the show and I loved it! I don't know what the other two judges are on about - it was spotless.

Jamie: The uptempo dances really suit you down to the ground, Julie. There was one small mistake in the Charleston section at the beginning, but other than that, I thought it was a cracker of a Quickstep, so well done!

Cal: A fab performance Julie. You're such a fantastic dancer. My one problem is I just don't feel the chemistry between you and Robin that I do with other performers and that ruins it for me. You are still a fantastic dancer though.

Scores:
Craig - 10
Jamie - 9
Cal - 8

Total - 27/30

The audience cheer Craig's score, while the boos progressively get louder as each judge gives their score.

Remember, each couple is still to take to the floor for a wonderful Group Viennese Waltz!
Stuart25
16-10-2014
Group Viennese Waltz

Training:
For their Manchester tour show, the couples will be performing a group Viennese Waltz. Mel is worried about the spins in the dance, saying “the spins in the dance are so fast, I’m really worried I’m going to come out of the dance with a massive headache!” However, Andrew’s worries of a different nature; “the dance floor is so tiny and everyone is moving so fast that there is a huge chance we could bump into each other! Hopefully the judges won’t be too bothered if that happens!”

Dance: Viennese Waltz - Billy Joel - Piano Man

Craig: For me, Amy and Julie stole the show. Amy - your top line is just amazing, I'm sure Darcey would be envious if she saw you dance that! And Julie, you are just grace personified. I also quite liked seeing Andrew desperately trying to dodge bumping into any other couple - that made it all rather entertaining!

Jamie: Unlike last night's group routine, the Viennese Waltz is a dance you all are comfortable with, and it really showed. Again, Amy and Siva - barring the little slip in the middle - stole the show for me, but I was rather impressed with the improvement of both Andrew and Julie, as well. This could be an interesting set of results...

Cal: You really are a fantastic cast. Stand out performers in that were Amy, you really blended into the music and Mel, that was the best I've seen you dance.

Scores:
Tim & Kristina - 1
Frida & Pasha - 2
Andrew & Natalie - 3
Mel & James - 4
Julie & Robin - 5
Siva & Iveta - 6
Amy & Kevin - 7

3 Amy Macdonald & Kevin Clifton - 24 + 7 = 31
