That's why I argued why this WC isn't necessarily the "the greatest ever of all time", its one of them possibly which is a bit different. I wasn't around in 82 but as you said that match and Italy 3-2 Brazil sounds like it had some absolute classic matches. Plus the goal average was even better in that WC.

I call that "a good start"

To be honest I wouldn't mind either.

Right, I better shut up now.

You left out the piano which was playing when a Commentator was speaking, so taking out some keys wouldn't go amisss.

Thanks
I have this fantasy of stuffing a shinpad down Townsend's throat and saying "Now shut up going on and on and on burbling the obvious."

I dare say that the trailer for the Ape movie (planted tweets and all) was more exciting then the game so far.

They're really pushing this Planet of the Apes moe aren't, they? Well it looks decent enough that said.

That said last time I checked humans were apes as well (even World Cup footballers besides Rooney). Sorry to be a pedant.

Robben will come out for the second half, and play like a demon, as he has done repeatedly in big matches this season. I hope ...

Van Persie must be close to being substituted, even if he is van Gaal's lovechild.

Looks really good. Is it the second or third film in the series/set

Every Brazil game that World Cup was such an "event". People talk about the myth of Brazil now, but the 82 team deserved the myth.

France had a great footballing team too, even though England beat them 3-1 in the first game, they really grew into a beautiful team.

effing Chicken fat advert. I liked the last Planet of The Apes film. Try to forget the Tim Burton one after the classic originals.

Have to admit that even though it's past the watershed, I was still surprised they allowed a clip of an ape shooting two men with a machine gun to be broadcast when lots of children are likely to be tuned in to watch the match.

This world cup is the greatest world cup of this year. That's about as far as I would go with 'greatest' .

And 2nd half begins. Let the goals flow. Please.

Argentina certainly due?

They've won more than the dutch. Surely the dutch are due more?

2nd half....delicately poised it is, and that was a delicate push down

Do the adverts on the screen change depending on what country you are watching in. I have ever seen a Spanish language advert which must account to a large percentage of world cup viewers main language.

Hope LVG isn't going to set up his Man U teams like he's setting up his Dutch team at the moment. Can you imagine Man U v Chelsea with Mourinho v LVG. It might be the first game ever to go into minus figures.
