I was going cold turkey, but just got my Adrian Chiles fix.

Really missed him the last few days.

Trying were they, didn't look like it to me, and should have tried harder! What's with the piano as talk happens.

What last night's match showed was that the South Americans play a different brand of football to how European countries play it, which resulted in an unequal game, so time for all countries to play same brand of footie, and then we's see some great matches.

Radio 5 talking about how badly Argentina, and especially Messi, will be missing Di Maria; Aguero seen warming up with the rest of the team.

I hope the stadium fills up a bit. It looks desolate at the moment. I wonder if some Brazilians who had brought tickets are now so disheartened and are boycotting the cup.

Genuinely haven't got a clue how this is going to go tonight.

Heart says Netherlands.

Head says Argentina.

Ian Wright would rather play with Messi

My three least favourite teams left in the competition.

Really hard to support any of the cheating nations ...

However, the Germany/Holland final would be great - so I'll have to go with the Cheaten Robben Ba*****ds team - until he dives

Chris Waddle praising the way van Gaal has all the big egos/personalities playing as a team.

What is your obsession with the world cup being a failure? Fans boycotting the stadium. Riots? De Stefano, are Argentine having the minutes silence tonight and not before the Brazil match.

It was obviously a prerecorded piece which is why the stadium wasn't full.

Hoddle was the England manager when Wrighty played for England

Presumably out of habit because Hoddle was his "gaffer" in his latter days of playing for England.

oh I see, still a bit weird considering they're both retired from the game and that it was over 15 years ago when hoddle was manager

Wright ain't the brightest. He probably forgets Hoddle's name. He can just use gaffa for managers he recalls playing for.

It seemed like a live link( the BBC ones last night were definitely live). Its not something you would prerecord considering they will go back to them at half time/full time for reaction.
