So did I, but I think Argentine will give us a match to watch.

Was that the one that hit the side netting, or did I miss something? It's possible I fell asleep make than once

Argentina are vastly superior at defending than Brazil so they should give Germany a really hard game in the final. Hopefully the game will have a few goals.

I said that early on. Played great first time up, and gone more and more negative every game. Glad they are out.

So where does that leave newfound English Media luvvie and Manchester god van Gaal now ?? Holland were lambs to the slaughter in that penalty shoot out - did any of them look like they believed they would win it ... tactical genius my arse.

Hopefully Argentina fans swamp the stadium and we see some flags, ticker tape, etc

I have found that whilst the crowds are making some decent noise, there is little "atmosphere" being generated

Maybe if Germany can get past the brick wall Argentine defence.

Argentina have only scored 1 goal in the knockout stages. Not good so far.

That was side-netting

Yes, which will give the usually pointless - to me - match some significant added interest.

I sincerely hope Germany give Argentina a good hiding in the final.

And if Messi is the greatest player of all time I will eat my hat.

Well they didn't. Alles Gute Deutschland.

Congrats Argentina! Shall be a great final.

A repeat of the 1990 final.

That's it for the Dutch, most of their good players will be past it by 2018.

So do I. However, I'll just be happy if Philip Lam holds the trophy aloft on Sunday

Argentina had the better of the play overall so glad to see them through to the final.

Their bias towards him is astonishing. Do they get paid extra for saying good things about him?

Everything he does seems to be more fantastic because he has done it, even if it's something other players have managed time and time again.

He still trails behind Muller for the golden boot too.

Argentina have only conceded 3 in 6 games.

Best defence in the tournament. Would it be ironic with all the attacking football if the best defensive team won the WC?

And who scored two of those goals?

Nigeria.

You never can tell.

Holland still haven't won the World Cup ....... how many 'years of hurt' for them?

At least England can live off the memories of almost half a century ago.
