Hi all, new guy here, wondering if I can get some advice.
I recently purchased a new TV (Samsung) to replace an older TV (Samsung) simply because I wanted 3D and something a bit bigger. I also have a Yamaha AV Receiver and Sky+ HD box.
Previous to buying the new TV I had no issues at all at any time or on any channel. Now, however, on certain channels the audio is out of sync (BBC2, Comedy Central, to name two). I don't have this issue when viewing other channels or when streaming media or playing a Bluray or DVD.
I've tried lipsync options on the AVR as well as Audo-Delay features on the Sky+ box but it has no effect. Also a bit pointless when other channels are fine. I've ensured the TV firmware is up to date as well as the Sky + HD box firmware.
I've also used the optical out/in and swapped between Sky to AV and Sky to TV - no difference.
I've also tried plugging the Sky+ HD box directly in to the TV but it makes little to no difference. I've asked on the Sky forums and I'm currently in 'live chat' with a rep to arrange an 'engineers' visit to resolve the issue however I have a feeling that wont fix the problem.
Can anyone offer any suggestions as to why this is happening and how to fix it? It's really ruining a lot of programs we like to watch. Bit annoyed at spending quite a bit of money on a nice new TV only to now have problems!
Thanks in advance!
