From the character's point of view, Dot no longer has any reason to be suspicious of Charlie after his mother's visit so is no longer in a position to find out the truth, and from the writers/producers', they probably waiting for autumn when more are watching to bring it back to the forefront and/or need Fatboy to be a part of the storyline so have to wait until Ricky Norwood is back.
