I use my phone for work, a great number of the calls are to 0870 & 0871 numbers.

I'm out of contract with Voda

When I started using these numbers I got a text from Voda saying I could have a 300 minute add on for 0870, 0845, 0800 numbers, the cost was £2.50 per month.

The majority of my calls are to 0871 numbers which I've realised (after reviewing my bill) aren't included

I know about saynoto0870 but these are personal direct dial numbers and wont be listed.

Are there any networks which have a 'proper' bolt on that include these none geographical numbers as 40p per minute is eye watering, not to mention a complete rip off

EE (T-Mobile) had a Flext plan that included all 08xx calls but it's been ring fenced for some years now, I don't think there is a current plan from any network that does now (for example, the Virgin plans with 08xx calls exclude 0871 IIRC).

If you mean the One Plan, they are 20p per minute.

I got a T-mobile "SIM only" plan last November and it DOES include 08xx calls!

Your minutes and texts are from the UK to UK mobile networks, voicemail, 08 numbers and numbers beginning 01, 02 and 03 (excluding Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man).

Well yeh. The OP would be a new customer.

Oh and just to clarify, T-Mobile SIM Only excl full monty plans (Unlimited data) are the ones that include 08 numbers.

Really ? I have a T-Mobile phone on SIM Only (since July 3rd this year) I downloaded the info on that date, and printed it out. As an experiment I made a 1 min 30sec 0871 call on Saturday, quelle surprise I was charged 67p. I phoned Customer Services, the bloke was adamant all 08* calls are NOT included. I've just tried to download the info again, but naturally the link is now broken

Well, clicking on the 'My Plan Overview' on my account portal, simply brings up, 'Sorry, the system is currently unavailable. Please try again later.'

EE do an unlimited 08xx booster for £5 a month, however it has a 12 month minimum term...

What a useless company EETMobileOrange is. The bloke in the store was adamant that no T Mobile or EE packages give inclusive 08* calls, I showed him the T&C's for my SIM Only tariff I'd printed from the website, and agreed it did state 08* numbers were free according to that. He then phoned 150, and we waited about 10 minutes to be served (no fast track route for stores then ? <roll eyes>) and they were equally adamant that inclusive 08* calls simply didn't exist on my tariff (or any other). The only explanation they could offer was the the T&Cs I'd downloaded were an error, well seeing as the link for them remains broken, that would appear to be the smoking gun. I asked for a copy of my (correct) T&Cs and was told I can download them from the website (which of course I can't) Oh, and the store are, quote; 'not allowed to have access to the internet' so I couldn't even prove the T&Cs are not available.

I have just recently signed up with Virgin Mobile and on their VIP tariff all 08 numbers are included in the contract and they operate on the EE network.

Different company i know VM i mean but they say unlimited 08 numbers,and because i am with VM for my BB TV,i got a discounted rate and no minimum term for that call plan i can change call time plans once a month .

Yes, I'm aware of that. It's not that I particularly need 08* calls to be inclusive, it's the fact that EE publish one thing, and implement another. You simply can't trust them (but all the mobile providers are just as inept in my experience) I can recall the difficulty my lad had trying to cancel his 30 day SIM only contract with Virgin a year ago, it was like 'Hotel California'.

Any T-Mobile plan with a limited minute bundle (ie: not unlimited minutes) taken out after Feb 2012 allows 08xx numbers within the bundle.

So how do I go about proving that to the droids on 150 ?

But regardless of any of that, why did the billing system bill me for making an 0871 call ?
