Remember 2010?
Germany 4-1 England
Germany 4-0 Argentina
"Hand them the trophy now!" "Hand them the trophy now!"
Germany 0-1 Spain
Yeah, its not like we've not seen this before. It could be different this time but we'll see.”
That Spain team were one of the greatest of all time though. There are no good teams standing in Germany's way this time.
It's Germany's time. The team has been maturing and knocking on the door for several tournaments and now they are ready to deliver. Bayern are the best club side in the world and Dortmund are one of the next best and the Germany national side contains many players who play together week in, week out at Bayern with a few Dortmund players thrown in as well.
Germany are a great team. Argentina and the Netherlands each have a couple of top-notch players and then the rest of the team are mediocre. That's not going to be good enough to compete with Germany.
