Afternoon all

Some might know about this, but have discovered a YouTube channel by the name of "Auntie Corrie" which has uploaded Corrie episodes from the old Granada Plus repeats, starting from the first one they showed from April 1976:

Episodes seem to go up to around July 1989 and there's apparently only around half a dozen missing. Pretty impressive if you fancy a vintage Corrie binge ☺

I love them. I've also been enjoying lots of brilliant classic Neighbours episodes aswell, there seems to be a bunch from whatever era you like, including the beginning.

There's also a channel called mrmagister1 which has a lot of episodes from the late 90s/early 00s. I've really been enjoying those, nice to see how much has changed in the last 15 years. and also some from the 80s and 70s

I've just been watching The Life and Loves of Elsie Tanner (or something like that....). There are 8 parts, and it was first broadcast in 1987 possibly soon after her death, and her acting is just fantastic. I skipped through the early stuff, and started it from the 80s when she was playing obviously an older Elsie, and I just wish that the current Corrie could go back to that quality which I'm afraid prob will never happen....

It's a scene in which there are just two characters in a room (her and Mike Baldwin) nothing else is happening apart from brilliant dialogue and acting, and I was simply glued to the screen, something of which doesn't happen that often now when I watch the current episodes....

Granada Plus was a great channel... they should bring it back or something like it and just show all the old soaps from back in the day...
