The channel is up on the Sky epg but at the moment you can't put the show in the planner yet but hopefully that will be sorted out soon and after 3 years it will be nice to watch these legally now. I'm very pleased! What with this and the news that Conan stars in Sharktopus vs Pteracuda on Syfy in the US on Saturday in a performance that made Gary Oldman cry it just remains for Syfy UK to pull their finger out!

Is the interview with Conan on GMB available anywhere other than the shockingly s**t ITV Player?
I'd set my YouView DVR to record the show, but it failed. Bloody typical that it had to fail with that! |

The EPG issue has now been fixed by Sky, so you can now add Mondays show and series link it. It might be worth noting though that because Conan has been in the UK this week the fist show is a rerun from a couple of weeks ago. From Tuesday onwards it's the planned 1 day delay from the US broadcast.
By the way, TruTV is on channel 565 on Sky for those who haven't found it. |

The interview is available on the Good Morning Britain website if you don't want to use ITV Player.

Yes quite right planner is working as normal. So they're starting with the Gary Oldman episode that went out 2 Tuesdays ago, good choice as Oldman is on good form and the supercut of his death scenes works well, expecting many bad Conan 'gor blimey guvnor's' and plenty uses of the word Anon when he starts Tuesday.

Is it less cringeworthy than the LBC interview? It felt like Nick Ferrari was attacking Conan with a bunch of irrelevant questions he wasn't quite expecting, and you could tell Conan was a bit uncomfortable with it...

That's a strange inference you've taken from the the interview. Conan's a highly intelligent guy. He had no problem answering his questions.

Starts tonight at 11pm.
Its an episode from a couple of weeks back tonight (as last week was reruns in the US due to Conan being over here in the UK promoting), but then its new episodes from tomorrow on a one show delay from US broadcast (which normally equates to a less than 24 hour difference between the US and UK broadcast). |

Looking forward to this tonight.
It's a shame it's hidden away in the Documentaries section on Sky. On Freesat they've put TruTV under Entertainment. |

Only 11,000 viewers (0.1% share) for Conan last night.
For heaven's sake tell your friends and family about this show else it won't last 5 minutes. |

I like Conan I've watched his show on & off for ages, The one thing Conan & the producers will have to is get some Brit's on Conan gets on well with is Jimmy Carr , Damian Lewis, Gordon Ramsey & Ricky Gervais, Emma Thompson has been on the show in the past year or so, The run of guests are mainly American of course but fingers crossed the above people will come on the show because if not I can't see the programme taking off here & that wiil be a shame because he knocks spots of the likes of Jonathan Ross, Conan is very switched on & great with one liners

For heaven's sake tell your friends and family about this show else it won't last 5 minutes. Remember, this isn’t the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ on Sky One,ITV2, Diva TV, or ‘The Daily Show’ on More4 etc where they really had to justify the money they were paying for the rights – this is a Turner produced programme on a Turner run channel, I suspect they are getting the programme at a significantly reduced rate. As long as it performs in line with the other programmes on the channel I think (and hope!) it’ll be around for a while, much like ‘The Tonight Show’ on CNBC. I suspect the amount of effort and resource it takes to get the programme on the air so soon after the US is probably more concern than what they are paying for the rights. It’s much easier to stick on a 10 year old episode of Fear Factor! Quote:

http://www.interbridge.com/lineups.html truTV also seem to be putting the guests in the EPG which is a smart move. Quote:

An early evening repeat is a good idea, but as has been said, would require some effort as they’d have to create a daytime edit every day. truTV have said they have plans to launch a catch up service, if they do and Conan is included in that it would also be a smart move, particularly given how popular the catch up services are on Sky and Virgin now. |

I suspect its the exact same scenario for CONAN on truTV in the UK. Which is the complete opposite to whenever the Late Show with David Letterman has been broadcast (and dropped) in the UK as its always been shown by a channel who is buying the rights at full cost and therefore the ratings have to justify the cost, which they clearly never do. |

The rights/cost need not be a major issue. |

Here's hoping they don't start making any unnecessary edits to the show for the UK broadcast, like ITV
and Sky did with Letterman many years ago. If they start doing this, I'll go back to torrent downloads! However, I did notice one small edit to the truTV premiere edition of Conan, featuring Gary Oldman as the main guest, originally shown on 22nd July in the States. They removed the bit where Conan said the next show would feature his cameo apperance in "Sharktopus vs Ptercuda" in full, but I suspect this edit was made by TBS from the re-run of the episode shown over there on Monday night. One edit that I think would be welcome for the UK version of the broadcast on truTV, would be for any strong language to be unbleeped. Any swearwords stronger than "s**t" are usually bleeped out of the original broadcasts on TBS, such as when a guest drops an F bomb. |
