My PHILIPS tv/vcr combination, has all of a sudden developed a problem this afternnoon, was fine this morning, which is very similar to when you place a large magnet near a tv,i.e that the colours have become distorted, especially the top half of the tv.,nothing wrong with the picture quality or sound.
If i lay the tv on it's side(horizontally),then the colours more or less are restored to normal.
What could have caused this problem,as i've had no magnets in the room/haven't moved the tv from it's position of 10 years.
Any quick solutions, that i could try, before i have to send it for repairs.
Thanks

Expect to pay roughly around £40-£45 if it's the positor.
