Would be nice if its story and character driven rather than event driven like the tram crash. They'd never kill Ken off so I'd say having Emily die would be fitting, if she lasts that long.

2020 might be the 60th anniversary of Corrie, but I don't think they will celebrate like the 50th! The next milestone is the 100th!! (will we all be here?? - I wont!!)
I was born in the same year as Corrie........can't see me lasting as long as its longevity!
(I'll be with Ena, Minnie and Martha in the SNUG in the sky!!

Maybe they should do lots of dramatic stories like this (watch for 4 mins)

http://youtu.be/NUaZ5u3oLeQ?t=22s (the start of an eventful soap episode)

Plus the whole basis of the 40th anniversary was the 'saving the Cobbles' when the Council did want to tarmac it over!

The guy who played Philip was awful His daughters in a burning building and he just stood calmly outside saying there's no way they can get in

Maybe Corrie could hold a tenth anniversary ceremony of the tram crash only for I to be interrupted by another tram crashing off the viaduct

They'll probably try and get William and Kate to make an appearance. Perhaps Will cuts out a 2 for 1 coupon from the Weatherfield Gazette for Nick's bistro in the first episode of an electrifying double bill.

Centre of Manchester not a stones throw from the original infamous cobbles...

A cobbled street... Well technically they are sets not cobbles...

I would like to add that this was the street where Steve and Michelle had their bust up a few years back where she threw the engagement ring in the skip...
I know because I drove through and nearly ran Steve Mc down because I was too busy looking at the film crew...

Whilst I know they will fly by (I still clearly remember the 30th anniversary in 90 - feels like yesterday!) I can't help thinking that considering it this early is akin to wishing your life away. That said for me, the 60th anniversary happens to be my best friends 50th birthday so as with the 25th, 30th, 40th and 50th I'll be With him - probably watching it before heading out for much drinking!!!!
