FWIW - i don't hold with the report button tactic - sometimes a reminder of T&C isn't a bad thing though is it? People can get personal (and before anyone starts frantically searching my post history) I'm not saying that I may not have done it. Nothing to be proud of but a gentle reminder just keeps it nice. IMO.”

Oh indeed it is Penny Crayon indeed it is. It's nice to practise what we preach.

I do so loathe disingenuous people. Getting personal seems to be ok if it is coming from a perspective you like,

Oh btw.... the T&C remarks....Gentle reminder...downright threatning I would have said..but hey ho...

Please stick to the housemates to slate not forum members!!!!”

The OP contained reasons for asking the question which, given the poster's history, I found to be disingenuous. This in no way implies that the poster is disingenuous as a personal trait and I did not make that comment, so I was not being personal as such.

It's perfectly proper to attack posts that have been made and to make the sorts of observations that were made, and you can disagree if you like.

I still find it strange that the OP, having made probably hundreds of posts on Ashleigh subjected threads, with access to the replies and to appreciation threads and the twittersphere, would be genuinely asking the question that was asked without having other motives for doing so.

As for the T&Cs, what I wrote did not breach them in any way.

I'll tell you why. Because I'm too lazy to trawl and search.

I'm on here - I made a thread about it.

If people choose to have a pop - go ahead. It really doesn't bother me.

Another function I've never used is the ignore one - I'm just too nosey. I'm tempted though.

Can you tell me why it's OK and acceptable for you to post critical stuff about your least favourite housemates but you find it objectionable when I do?

Ok

Why not get back to the point of the thread instead of turning it into a fanfest, uh?

But you calling Penny disingenuous was rude because we have had many posts about Ashleigh and most people have said they are mainly backing Ashleigh because she stands up to Helen and the cool gang. Hardly anybody gives reasons about her character, so with Penny asking why people liked Ashleigh I think it is a very good question to put to her fans and find out what they like and think about her. Plus not everybody goes into people's appreciation threads, especially if they don't like them.

Strangely enough hardly any have still given any reasons about her character but still saying it's all about Helen. Penny was probably hoping to get other answers as was I!!

So why come into a thread then if you don't want to debate but to be rude to forum members and wind them up.

If you like.

I have a fantastic long term memory - quite exceptional. Short term really not so good.

What about you?

If it's me you are referring to, then I can stand up for myself, though I appreciate Darcy standing up for me.

I asked a perfectly innocent question about a fm coming onto the thread just to disparage the debate.....whereby you gave the thumbs up and agreed with that fm. But not only that, you put me down at the same time. My reaction was to lighten the load with a bit of lighthearted banter to which both of you hit on as offensive.

So where to go from there?

I've made my points and clarified them. Because I don't agree with you and others on this thread I am accused of being rude and winding them up. Pretty strong accusation Darcyprincess.

Defamatory in fact.

Attack the argument and not the poster. Seems a lot of people like to shout T&C's when it suits them.

What a funny post. Of course you don't have to. The OP only asked politely. So posting only to say you have reasons but aren't prepared to discuss them is extremely odd behaviour, no? And nobody else seems to want to divulge their reasons for liking Ashleigh either. They must be everso precious and private reasons. Top secret, classified stuff. This is bizarre.

She has stood up for herself and I like that. She is also incredibly pretty which, quite frankly, I think annoys many of her detractors. Yeah, think she's a cool girl”
