I too struggle to understand half the things he says due to his thick accent. But even then he's still better than Lee Dixon. All Fabio needs to do is sit there and look cool and even then he outshines Chiles and co

The fairly brief article has some quite interesting comments and statistics about the coverage of the world cup on ITV and the BBC.

We've never seen the Final on ITV, and I doubt we'll be starting now.

Cannavaro is so cool though His English is not that bad and everything he says makes a lot of sense. He was the only one who said it was a mistake for Van Gaal to sub his keeper and that Mascherano was Argentina's main man before the Holland v Argentina game.

BBC, don't need to think about it. I knew before the World Cup started.

It will be BBC for me for many reasons highlighted above. . One, not mentioned as far I can see is that the TV coverage is usally a couple of seconds ahead of the ITV version.

People complaining about the adverts. It's not as if they appear mid way through the game. I'm not sitting in one place for 90+ minutes. The adverts make a good place to get up and move around.

No Andy Townsend is all the reason anyone needs to stick with the BBC.
