Germany for sure. Hope they humiliate Argentina.

Do they really ? I thought that was the Scots.

Germany probably will win, but I'm supporting Argentina.

Germany, by far the better team.

Germany. the most attacking, entertaining team at the World Cup. For once, let the team playing the best football win.

Argentina.

But only because it would help me win my office prediction competition...

Argentines are grateful to the English for what we did for them, banks railways getting rid of the Junta (military government) due to the Falklands ferrago.

They are good at winding us up though!

I'm a neutral. So I'm just hoping for a very good match, and that the team who play better football to watch win.

Excuse me? What are you talking about? It was a competitive game. Were the German players supposed to take the ball to the Brazilian net, then kick it away?
Be realistic, please.

Brazil's defence were disgusting, nothing Germany did was. When you say you want Argentina to put them in their place, do you mean no more than a two-goal lead in case feelings are hurt?

As I said before, if Germany eased up to be nice that'd be a million times more insulting to Brazil.

Assuming this isn't a windup, I'd suggest football is not for you.

And the award for the most ridiculous post of the Century goes to...

What the hell are you on about. So by your warped reckoning Germany should have stood still and let the host nation bang in goals. Behave..actually is this a wind up, no true football fan would ever make such an illogical and quite frankly bonkers comment.

Yeah... because they played a really serious competitive game against the USA... I hope Germany lose the title now. Winning 7:1 against any host nation is disgusting, but to do it against Brazil in a semi-final is truly appalling. 4:1 would have been humiliating enough. Please don't pretend like players can't control the outcome of a game.

Maybe you haven't been watching enough football games, but just to inform you: football players can control how many goals they score and Germany should have stopped at 4. It was obvious Brazil was incapable of doing anything.

You really should stop this 'you don't know about football if you disagree with me' lark, your disgust at Germany is ludicrous.

Being half an hour into a game and having the opposition back off because you're not up to it is WAY more humiliating, just to inform you.

I've plumped for Germany in the prediction competition, but I'd love Argentina to win it on Brazilian soil.

Really? Have you been there?

Argentines are Italians who speak Spanish and think they are British ex-pats living in France. The upper class anyway.

Go to a polo or rugby match in BA or any of the top schools.

If I wanted to be entertained I'd go to a Shakira concert.

Football is the appropriate balance between attack and defence. That's the best football. A goalkeeper or back making a wonder save is just as valuable as a wonder goal.

Of course... it's not like a 7:1 result will go into the history books.

Anyway, it should be an interesting final. I actually think this World Cup has the two strongest teams (out of everyone in the competition) in the final, which is quite rare. So it should be entertaining and hopefully Argentina will put Germany in its place.

I support every team that has a Chelsea player playing, so I am delighted for Andre Schurrle that he has reached a World Cup Final and I really hope Germany win for that reason.
