That's just part 1 of 2 of the interview the other part says at the bottom to Check back on Digital Spy tomorrow (Saturday, June 12) for lots more Emmerdale gossip in Part Two of our interview with Kate Oates. So maybe will be mentioned then.
Saying that, if Finn's storyline is as huge as Lisa's storyline, the publicity could be the same - does anyone else remember? Lisa's rape was not mentioned in any spoilers - they were very vague and all the publicity for the storyline came afterwards. |

True, I just found it strange as the Bartons are discussed as well as Finn and Aaron - I would have thought something would have been said.

All pretty positive, so glad she isn't throwing Aaron & Finn together...In fact I applaud her for it!!) (EE fans could do too realise just cos two characters are gay, does not mean they should jump into bed with each other...that only happens in Hollyoaks hehe) ...Also glad kate has said she won't be blowing anything up or doing some big, overrated stunt in October.. They don't need it to be fair...I think the thing concerning me after reading this interview is ...I do hope Danny miller delivers!!

In what way? He's a good actor so why wouldn't he. For me though I'm not convinced she has. any real longterm and big plan for him. Its no good bringing him back after his previous stint and then just dropping him in to different story's like the Adam one in a supporting role. They might as well of not brought him back for that. She didn't convince me with her answers that she has any big plan for this return at all and its just for the sake if it on their part. Which is a shame for me as someone who enjoyed that character before.

Well no and I appreciate that but the point Is that if someone is coming back and they are a big character then you surely have some kind of big plans for them rather than having them back to just be there.

Lots of good stuff coming up. I have read elsewhere that Aaron is going to have a big storyline over the Autumn that will involve him with different characters so I think the Producer is keeping that one under wraps for now.I get the impression that Donna is going to be killed in some type of robbery as
Spoiler
I also get the impression that Andy is going to return to his nasty ways with his temper. Looking forward to part 2 of the interview for more spoilers. |

In regards to the answer about the older characters. I have a feeling that it isn't just Paula Tilbrook that is ill. It seems like its most of the older characters who have been ill because Kate says: "For one reason or another, I've not been able to show some of the older characters as much as I would have liked over the last few months" this gives me the impression Paula, Freddie and Meg have all been ill. I wouldn't like to speculate but thats just what I think. :/

Disappointed in big Chas and Debbie storyline next year and slightly disappointed that Finn & Robbie will be staying just friends (ah well as long as they still have scenes together)
Everything else looks set to be pretty good, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens! |

Everything else looks set to be pretty good, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens! I guess they decided not to run with it. They haven't shared a scene since Robbie took the rap for the credit card fraud - it's so weird that it went nowhere. Not even as mates, so I'm a bit baffled by that. The rest sounds fine though - nothing massively grabs me except Ross/Donna, but it usually plays out pretty well on screen. It'll be nice to see more Jimmy/Nicola. And I'd like to see them do something with Vanessa as well, she's a bit wasted really. |

The Ross and Donna stuff is going to be really good and the lead up to christmas seems very watchable. |

The thing is it might sound good, but so did the Belle storyline and look how that turned out.
