So, a lower total overall for Team Inspired. However, some of the items handed in failed to fit the requirements set in the brief, and as a result some penalties will incur...

...There were some issues with the 'Christ the Redeemer' figurine you sent. Firstly, it was from Amazon so there was some confusion as to whether it was from a 'private seller' as we said was not allowed on the brief. Furthermore, what you actually sent was a fridge magnet, and not a figurine as the brief stated. Therefore, we will be issuing you a penalty of double the price of the other team's statue. Their statue came to £5.79, which means £11.58 will be added on to your team's total. This means the totals now stand at £650.02 for Aptitude and £561.67 for Inspired.
This penalty has no bearing on the final result, and we cannot therefore safely say that Team Inspired, you have won, congratulations. It appears you all did a great job with finding the items, especially with the problems that the absence of a project manager can cause, so well done and you may now leave the boardroom. Team Aptitude, unfortunately you have lost this task, and must remain in the boardroom. |

For Team Aptitude, whilst you weren't completely thrashed, there was still a considerable difference between your teams total and the others, despite you finding many of the items cheaper. I'm aware some of you are not able to be here presently but for those of you that are here, what do you think is the reason for the failure of the task? From comparing the two lists I can see that whilst you found many of the smaller items cheaper, Inspired did better on many of the higher priced items - do you think more focus should have been put on these bigger items?

I think is that the Hotel and Plane couldnt be a package deal (due to it only has to be a return) may be a factor

Well, I think the defeat was due to a) a missing team member (again) and b) less focus on the larger items like you said. To be honest those who did search searched really hard, but I personally should have spent more time.

I see, it is a pity that you weren't able to find the flight at a cheaper price in the end as that was the swinging factor for the other team.
From what I've been given, it appears this is who found each item: Hotel - Roxie Figurine - Roxie Suncream - Naruto TV - Naruto Water(x11) - Roxie Football - Naruto Swimsuit - Naruto CD - Roxie Whistle - Naruto Plane Ticket - Roxie I don't think I've ever seen such an uneven spread between team members finding each item on a task like this before, with only two members actually contributing to the final list, why was this so? |

Well, me and Emma (idk about Jess) did search, but I've been really busy with a field trip, and an awards evening over the last couple of days, but I searched EVERY chance I could. Naruto and Roxie were saints to be honest. And me and Emma tried. I think the lack of communication from Jess/Tom really hindered us, but those who looked did to the best of their ability.

Whilst I understand this team member's absences must have been annoying, do you really think you can use it as a reason for the loss of the task? Team Inspired had one less than you to begin with and even had to deal with the absence of a project manager, yet still managed to win?

It could also be down due to activity as on the second day, many people were absent with reasons and notice giving me more time than them to search and find more items i believe as i was mostly available and searching for a long time. |

Okay, whilst I do understand that the final list doesn't necessarily account for the effort put in by each team member on the task, it does seem like the fact that only two team members are present on it tells me something about this task.
I'm going to move on to the final boardroom now. Naruto, which two members are you bringing back with you and why? |

Jess, due to the fact that apart from the first day, she wasn't as active due to other commitments for the second and third day. |

I'm not sure Jess or Tom are here, but Naruto, can you please tell me why exactly you deserve to stay in this process, and who you think deserves to be fired?
