Have you kept photos of an ex?

Have you kept photos of an ex when you have a new partner? I have a couple in an old shoebox somewhere as a keepsake, it seems strange to destroy part of your past!

Edit: if your ex was horrible then I understand ripping them up!

Yes, why shouldn't you? Photos make memories. It's not as if she had them up by her bed.

Particularly as, according to what she's said ... they've been friends for four years, and dating off and on for two of those. Sounds like he's much more of a friend than a serious relationship.

That's what I think. The vast majority of people will have had happy times with ex partners and shouldn't have to pretend they never happened when they get together with someone else. Only an extremely controlling partner would want to erase your past.

I've got quite a few - various holiday pics, photos with the kids etc.
B/f has photos of his ex's.

Nothing wrong with it at all.

In fact, we have met one or two of each others ex's and all get on fine.

But then, none of us are f;cked in the head.

There are hardly any photos of me from when I was a teenager and none from Uni because there weren't digital cameras or camera phones around, I'm a bit sad about that now so I'm not getting rid of the few snapshots with my ex.

Yes - but I wouldn't take them into the BB house, they're not that important to me!

Yes. They remind me of the happy times that I experienced. It's part of my life.
