BBBOTS haven't got a clue

Never heard so much ridiculous rubbish as on tonight's show. Even Vanessa Feltz, usually pretty reliable, was sucked into the half-witted speculation as to why Jale was evicted. Don't the BBBOTs people know that Jale was evicted because several hundred Ashleigh fans were spending half a week's pay each on voting for Jale?!

Well when Ashleigh is shown a lot of support on here the general response is something along the lines of "this forum is so out of touch, Ashleigh is hated by the vast majority of viewers".

So I'm not sure how this insignificant amount of fans could all of a sudden band together and be solely responsible for the eviction of another housemate.

Jale had a really bad week in the HLs and I'm sure there are plenty of reasons why someone may have picked up the phone to vote her out.

Either way I'm not sure where the evidence is that anyone spent half a week's paying voting for her.

Of course they knew, but they are hardly going to acknowledge that viewer figures and voter numbers are so low that a campaign to save one house mate can result in another being evicted. To protect the show, they had to find another reason for the public to evict Jale.

Good answer. Yes, exactly. I was being a little ironic in my OP!

There was a big #KeepAshleighIn campaign on Twitter & Facebook, mainly headed by BBSpy, BBCoachPotatoes and BigBrother-Xtra, who have ~100k followers between them:

It wasn't necessarily because they wanted to evict Jale, it was going to be Marlon until he saved himself, but it was the only practical way to save Ashleigh.

The main reason they chose Jale was because
1) she was closest of the 4 to Helen
2) it looked like she was pushing her original friends away (Chris, Marlon, Christopher, Danielle?)
3) Ashleigh needs to stay as the last bastion of hope against Helen & crew, and also just to annoy Helen & Kim

Helen would have as good as won if Ashleigh went. The game/show would've been over.

Still doesn't really mean anything. There have been plenty of similar campaign's in the past that failed miserably, and all forms of social media are usually out of touch with the votes/viewers.

Well, they're claiming a solid victory all over twitter, facebook & various forums.
It looks like this particular campaign actually worked.

If Marlon had still been in the mix, I reckon Jale would've been one of the first two saved.

Well they're claiming a victory because it's the result they wanted, but they've no clue either how much their actual votes contributed to Jale's eviction. I'm sure it did contribute to her eviction don't get me wrong, but I don't think it's the only valid reason as to why she was evicted.

She probably would have gotten less votes than Marlon, but I highly doubt she'd have finished lower than Chris or Christopher. She had a bad week in the HLs as I said and some people were already wanting her out before Marlon was even saved. She took a massive jump in the polls after Wednesday night's episode.

Yeah, you're probably right.
There's really no way of telling for sure.

But as long as they're happy, eh? Bless 'em
