I would imagine it comes from advertising. I would imagine that viewing figures in order to sell advertising space are more important to them than voting revenue.

Majority comes from advertising these days. Mainly from product placement. Such as last nights product placement of Nile Rogers Disco Inferno album which was followed with about three advertisements for it.

Voting revenue would be peanuts compared to advertising revenue.

If there was any significant amount of revenue to be gained from voting they wouldn't be passing up on the chance to generate more before Monday.

No gimmicks like the free voting app either.

Which is why the show itself relies on deals with specific brands and also tie in's., as has just been announced with Armageddon and The Dawn of the apes movie.
