Sharon has a few 'Duff Duffs' coming up.....
Be interesting to see Sharon at the centre of the drama again! and has a few duff duffs coming up in 2 weeks.....can't wait to see where the writers take Sharon......going to be great if she finally takes Phil down and what the outcome will be......

I'm guessing Letitia is happy that she is being used properly

It does make me laugh that when other characters have several duff duffs in a row, the character is said to be 'overused' but with Sharon, it's being used properly? Can someone explain this to me? I'm completely confused. Does it vary for different characters?

See how many eye flutters she can squeeze in while she tries to act.

There is plenty of women I know that behave like Sharon. I think we all know a person like Sharon. She is a much more enjoyable to watch than a certain character that received absolutely no repercussions for attempting to murder her helpless young child.

There's a certain amount of expectation from a character who has appeared since the very first episode. Most long term EastEnders fans would expect her to be used a lot more frequently and receive many duff duffs since that's the way it's always been. She doesn't have the 3rd highest total of duff duffs for nothing.

Ah. It just confused me because when several other characters had a few duff duffs, people starting coming out with expressions like 'overused' and it can't be one rule for some and another for the rest. (With exception of Stacey, she had a heck of a lot of endings..)
) and should be used more. She was non existent for most of the last year. Stacey's overuse was embarrassing. She had the exact same duff duff about 5 times in 2 weeks. Stacey is probably the modern day viewer's answer to Sharon, mores the pity.

As much as some woud like it, all characters aren't equal. Sharon pre-dates the entire cast including Ian (by about 10 minutes

Sharon may pre-date the entire cast bar Ian, but I don't think that means she is above and beyond the rest of the current cast. You can't deny that Letitia Dean has made good use of the revolving EastEnders door.

Even with leaving twice she still stuck around for over 10 years the first time around. Very few actors have dedicated that much time to EastEnders. She was one of the last original cast members to depart in fact. Only Pauline, Ian, Kathy, Michelle and Arthur were still there when Sharon left and 2 of those were gone within a year. I'm a big fan of US prime time soap operas so I don't have a problem with Letitia's acting style. I wouldn't have Sharon any other way

For me the acting is important, I don't want to be laughing my socks off at the face pulling during a dramatic scene. It was Michelle that was the Stacey of the soap's early years. she was the one who had big s/ls of her own, but then she was the most capable actor of the young teens then. |

I've been watching old episodes from early nineties the difference between the two decades for her character is amazing even with Phil when he use to be sort of nice and level headed, I really think Grant was a huge rippling point for theses two characters they use to just bounce of each other, at a time a really good dynamic.

So the fact u can count her duff duffs on one hand is odd to say the least - whereas other characters not nearly so important to the show get overused. |

Well Sharon is an original, from the show's greatest family, and one of their most popular characters ever.
