When I was watching tv through the home cinema setup, the lip synch was awfully bad. No amount of twiddling with settings could alleviate it, so a guy from a satellite firm popped in and immediately moved the optical cable running from it to the Sky HD box and put it straight in the back of the telly. Job done in five minutes. The funny thing is I've always read the optical cable should always run from the sky box to the home cinema. So what's right and what's wrong. Don't want to touch anything the guy did, but how come it's actually working okay?
