Hi folks. I wonder if someone with knowledge of Toshiba service menus can give me a few pointers. I've had the 21V33B2 for a few weeks now and the picture quality is very good. The only thing that's wrong with it is the overscan: about 10% of the picture area is missing, and I'd like to correct it.

I'm able to access the service menu by pressing volume down on on the front panel and 9 on the remote. This brings up a list of settings, H POSI OSD, V POSI OSD, HPOSI TXT, V POSI TXT, H POSI 60. What I'm looking for is the H SIZE, V SIZE setting, but it's not listed in the menu. If I attempt to scroll up or down past the list of options, the screen goes black, which isn't particularly helpful. Any suggestions on how bring up the H/V SIZE options?

Once your into the service menu use the remote numbers eg,01 ,10 up to 34 (i think) this should bring up different options.

Thanks andjoslin. I typed in '11' and it came up with the menu options featuring H SIZE and V SIZE.

I think I spoke too soon - I'd thought I'd cracked the overscan problem but I haven't. On closer inspection the two SIZE options are V SIZE 50 for 50Hz signals and V SIZE 60 for 60Hz signals. Both control the vertical size (height) of the screen, and do not affect the horizontal size (width).

It's puzzling. I've gone through all the options in the Service Menu (1 - 39), and while there is a vertical size adjustment option which works well, there is no option for the adjusting the horizontal size! Perhaps there is a sub-menu I haven't seen. Anyhow, it looks like I'm stuck with the overscan for the time being.

my old samsung tv which seemed to be a clone of a toshiba missed off a bit of picture at the sides so it tried to fix it in the service menu but i couldn't find the option for the horizontal size, i could adjust the vertical size and move the picture up/down and left/right but not the horizontal size so i just had to leave it.
