Hello
So i have a Samsung S3 and its taking to long to charge,So i pop into my vodaofone store they kindly sent me a new battery, but still the same taking to long to charge,I pop back into vodafone so they send it off for repair to Fonecare,Sounds good so far doesn't it,I tracked what was going on through vodafone website, looked at the site for it to say it was sent back to the shop fixed by a software update,Wasn't happy by that knowing its a hardware issue,So i picked up the phone took it home and yes you got its still taking to long to charge,So i wrote down the times i put it on charge and at what percent the battery was at and how long its taking to charge, with all that i go back to vodafone and was told i did a good thing writing down all the info so they sent it off again,I checked the tracking this time it said fault fixed but with no info so i got hold of vodafone 191 they said they will get hold of the repair team to find out was fixed,I had a email from Fonecare saying this:
Further to your enquiry reagrding the repair to your Samsung Galaxy S3 the engineers were unable to replicate the fault and so the software was upgraded and the device returned to store for your collection.
In the email they left a phone number for the repair center so i talked to them on the phone,I was told they tested the charging port and my charger and it was fine so they updated the software and sent it back because they couldn't replicate the fault.
So off i go back to the vodafone store to pick up the phone i told them about the email and phonecall,They looked at the phone and it looked like it was a new phone but it wasn't so they said they will put it on charge and for me to come back in 30 minutes because it will of fully charged by then,I get back to the shop they looked at the phone and it had only charged 2% in the 30minutes.
I cant fault the person ive been dealing with in the shop, the staff couldn't belive how they could not of seen the fault, with all the details of the problem ive written down,So now they have sent it off for a third time.
I belive the reason why they couldn't replicate the fault is the simple fact they never put it on charge they just tested the charger and tested the charging port with a multi meter.
So if it comes back again saying they couldn't replicate the fault whats the next step i can take? Its a contract phone and not even 12months old. Im not saying vodafone are rubbish because they have seen it not charging and cant understand why the repair team are sending it back not fixed.
