Possible HDMI-CEC problem. On you TV in settings disable it.

Trade names for CEC are Anynet+ (Samsung), Aquos Link (Sharp), BRAVIA Link and BRAVIA Sync (Sony), HDMI-CEC (Hitachi), E-link (AOC), Kuro Link (Pioneer), INlink (Insignia), CE-Link and Regza Link (Toshiba), RIHD (Remote Interactive over HDMI) (Onkyo), RuncoLink (Runco International), SimpLink (LG), T-Link (ITT), HDAVI Control, EZ-Sync, VIERA Link (Panasonic), EasyLink (Philips), and NetCommand for HDMI (Mitsubishi).

You may need to power cycle the TV and then power it up (For the first attempt anyway) before the HDR-1010S.

If you disconnect the hdmi cable and connect the box to the TV with a scart cable, will it now boot up ?

Have checked the fuse in the power brick plughead ?

Get it replaced, it's clearly gone kaput

It may be just the power brick that's failed.

It can be difficult to respond to emails where normally a Q & A session follows - best to phone.

p.s. for the information of others the TV does not have HDMI-CEC implemented.

I know it may sound silly, but the cable is pushed into the box enough?
