I think she's actually got herself a bit stuck. I do think she wanted to couple up, thinking that would help her in BB, especially as she shows no emotions so people could've got bored with her very quickly. The problem is if she backs off from Steven now, the rest of the house (bar maybe the Chris's) think the sun shines out of Steven's backside and she could get the backlash against her.
After the 'get Steven out' chants, we got an insight into what the HM's thought of him and none seem to think it was actually something wrong with Steven's personality. Danielle, saying he was a lovely bloke, Ash and Helen, thinking it was having sex that caused the chants, Mark I think mentioned something too, yet none thought Steven should get any blame.
None of them (well from what we saw) actually questioned, it was just Steven getting the chants and not Kim. Which would've been the case if Helen and Ash were right and would've said it wasn't just him but Kim as well.
So she's stuck in a house that thinks he's great. He loves getting attention and she must know if she backed off from him, he'd be running to one and all doing the 'how dare she do that to me.', 'I'm fuming at the way she treated me' etc. And they'd most probably support her. So in a sense, she's stuck with him
Plus she may have believed the public loved him like the house does. Obviously she realises now that's most prob not the case, but once again, she's still facing a pro-Steven house. A house she knows that can turn on someone without even thinking about it.
So yeah, kind of think she's got herself into a hole and can't get out. I don't think she loves him, she's just playing along because at the moment, that's the only option for her (well apart from walking and getting away from him for good.)
