Johnny and Nancy , currently onscreen immediately spring to mind.

Phil and Grant were a brilliant partnership and I liked long suffering Ricky and Janine. Lynne and Kat Slater were good and I thought Jake and Danny Moon worked convincingly together.

They're half siblings. They have the same dad. Back in 2008 when she came back onto the show, they had a few scenes together but then she left again and when she returned it seemed she forgot all about him, the last scene the characters had together was almost a year ago when Dr Browning attacked her. I think she mentioned him when he went missing but that is literally all the interaction they've had in a year.

Now as for the original topic, I have to say I really enjoyed the relationship between Cheryl and Brendan Brady on HO, not just because of what he did for her in the end but they had a really loving and funny at times relationship.

Rosie and Sophie Webster c.2003/2004 when Rosie was a grumpy goth and Sophie was a funny little girl making sarky comments.

What a cow, no offence but shouldn't SHE be looking after Tom Cunningham then?

I actually think Peter and Tracy Barlow are very convincing despite not being blood related or having grown up together. Their vibe just feels 'right' somehow. Equal dislike and affection as another poster expressed it recently.

Zoe and Chris Tate were also convincing and I thought Jimmy King worked well with all his younger brothers and sister Scarlett.

I think the possibility of either Mandy or Cindy looking after Tom came up when they returned (Mandy being his sister on their mothers side) but it was decided he was settled and happy with the Osborne so unfair to move him.

Indy & Dex really were the best. The teens suck on H&A now. Well expect for Jett.

But before that story he had been with them for a quite a bit. When Max died I don't even remember Cindy going to see how he is never mind asking to look after him.

I agree about Maria and Kirk - i'm always forgetting that they are siblings to the extent that I even wondered whether they'd pair them up as he was about the only man of the right age Maria hadn't shagged! Then I remembered why! The rare times they do feature together they are quite sweet but it hardly ever happens!

With Cindy and Tom, she had left before he was even born so although the blood link is there I find it believable that they aren't as close as he was to Max who was very active in his upbringing (a second Dad) right from the start, even before Gordon and Helen died. Mandy is the more grating one because she was also very involved with him in his first few years but practically ignored him during her last stint.

It would be nice to have more interaction between Holly and Tom as they are cousins and a similar age (2 or 3 years between them I think).

Yes! I loved their scenes together during Cindy's 2008-2010 stint when they where both kids and causing trouble together!

Brendan and Cheryl Brady in Hollyoaks, even though it was a trifle one-sided at times, especially towards the end, when I found her infuriating much of the time. Don't even get me started on her final scene! Still, for most of the time, it was a very believable close brother/sister relationship.

Holly is Tom's paternal niece. He also has another one named Beth who was born to Dawn (who died of leukemia) and Jack. Since Jack and Frankie adopted Tom, he would be her adoptive half-brother and biological uncle!

Tom also has a paternal nephew in Hilton, who was named after his father. Grace was his maternal niece but she died of SIDS (and that destroyed Tony and Mandy's marriage) and another maternal niece named Ella, Mandy's daughter by an unknown man.

Through adoption, Esther and Francine Osborne (Suzanne and Darren's daughter) are his nieces and Jack (Francine's twin) and Oscar are his nephews.
