Jim Mcdonald
Does anyone think his return could go either way:
1. It will be dull because of the state Corrie is in at the moment. 2. It will be the only thing worth watching because of the state Corrie is in at the moment. Isn't he due back soon. |

I don't care I just want him back and on the street as a regular causing mayhem like he did previously. Too young to remember which is annoying.

The thing is he isn't going to be back on the street. As far as i know this stint is based in prison as he is serving time. I remember his past two stints but that is all

It will be very dull, so it will because that is the way that CS is now.
Its not a patch on how it used to be. I really am on the verge of not watching any more and I have watched since episode one. |

I love Jim and think he is one of the great character of CS....but not looking forward to his return this time.....set in prison I think it will be very limited what he can get up to.......apart from the fact usually court and prison scenes bore me to death they are so dull...

I dont think Big Jim is back in the Street for good and as much as I like Big Jim, not sure if I would want to see him back for good, what for him - fighting over Elizabeth again - too old. I think its a short stint as Peter bumps into him in the Big Hoose.

It would be a very early release from prison if they let him go now. He was sentenced to 7 years in March 2011 for armed robbery !
A very light sentenance in itself |

Always loved Jim so I think Blackburn will do well with Jim's characterisation.

One of my favourite characters, everyone gets their full name, Elizabeth, Stephen etc while he ramains Jim. He survived army life, being chucked off a roof by his son, being on the run from prison and so much more. He could have sorted Phelan and hard man Owen with one hand tied behind his back.
I'm hoping this stint will lead to him and his catch phrases being back more permanently. |
