With the recent announcement that Hollyoaks are launching this years 'Six Weeks Of Summer' campaign tomorrow, I thought I'd set up a discussion thread where we can talk about the trailer, thoughts, ideas and spoilers.

The trailer will be released tomorrow (July 14th), while Keiron Richardson and Jorgie Porter teased Hollyoaks' upcoming summer storylines. These include Maxine and Patrick's wedding, a possible commupence for Finn, Theresa and Myra's return, a car crash, Fraser's killer reveal and Nancy and Darren's wedding.

Sounds a bit boring!
Last year was admittedly better with Clare and the Mercedes/Paul story

I'd love Jacqui to return too. There's still hope!

It's such a shame Clare was killed. Such a waste of potential with her and Fraser. However, I'm still looking forward to the trailer. It has a lot to live up, like you say, last years trailer was great.

I was wondering if they'd do Six Weeks of Summer this year. I'd been watching almost a year last year on and off but was hooked when this was advertised and been watching ever since.

I'm really looking forward to the fact it's being done again and the trailer is tomorrow as I thought I'd already missed it and have been searching for it on You Tube already.

I'm looking forward to seeing whether Sinead abandons her revenge plan after her feelings regarding Tony change or is it "change" and she's playing both Tony and Diane in quite a risky game which may see her on the losing side.

I'm also wondering what the "event" is that leads to Darren and Nancy's second wedding being in jeopardy if it's nothing to do with what we've already seen. I know at the BSA Jazmine Franks said Esther will be coming more to the forefront again in a new storyline. I wonder if the "event" is the start of that?

I'm not a McQueen fan apart from John Paul - regarding Finn it looks like the next 6 weeks are going to be very bad for Diane too not only possibly finding out her step-daughter and partner are having some sort of affair but her step-son did what he did and has to face the whole fallout of that too.

Finally Maxine and Patrick, the domestic abuse storyline and the wedding. I'm not quite sure what to make of this and though I hope Patrick gets his comeuppance I also hope that it doesn't tie in with the whole theory that has been feared regarding Sienna and Nico, though there are going to be two stunts in these six weeks I guess and one of them is likely to be in this storyline arc.

Seems like a quite interesting summer in Chester will play out.

Really looking forward to it ...

Im looking forward to seeing the trailer. I like cindys bipolar and jasons body dysmorphia storylines so hope they will feature in summer even though they weren't mentioned in the interview.

They do a new trailer each week dont they?

They did last year - in fact there were seven in total - one to introduce the concept and then six others (one per week) to feature the storylines focused on in that particular week.

They may as well have Patrick/Maxine and Darren/Nancy weddings together that way they both go down in disaster.

I've completely lost interest in HO now it's totally lost itself and become hugely OTT. Especially with the way they change characters depending on the story and how some people will disappear for months then just appear again with their story, JP's rape comes to mind.

Hopefully this campaign to promote the summer storylines will catch my attention. I for one can't wait for the Patrick/Maxine storyline to end and hopefully Darren/Nancy will just split up for good.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the trailer, Hollyoaks always do the best trailers.

Does anyone know what time are they are releasing it? It's usually around 4pm, isn't it?

They had some powerful scenes to put in their trailers last year, with Ste's euthansia story and Tony's cancer and Nancy's car chase.

But I'm not sure this year they can have the same impact. It's a repeat campaign, and all they have going is weddings and another car crash. The show's declined a lot.

When will Hollyoaks ever be a happy place? Nothing good seems to happen there.

That wasn't in the summer though, it was in March/April-May

It picked back up when Clare returned in late September only to be killed off 3 weeks later something I will never forgive HO for! She was the ultimate soap villain!

I didn't know they where doing a Six Weeks of Summer again where did you hear this?

I've looked on the internet and can't find a source. Where did you hear this OP? Without a source or seeing the trailer for myself tomorrow I don't know if this is true.

Hollyoaks actually do weddings? Or will those end up in death?

Sinead and Freddies was hardly happy. The wedding before that I can remember is Rhys and Jacquie and Rhys died.

At this point, I'm just happy at the prospect that some of these dragged out stories might be over in six weeks.

Can't believe that this time last year I was extremely excited for the whole campaign. How times have changed. Now I doubt I'll even watch the majority of it. HO has been run into the ground this past year.

I agree. JP's rape and Maxine's abuse come to mind.

Interesting theory - what makes you say that?

Do you think the Peri reveal may come before or after this if it's the case?
