There's no chance i could choose. They're both disgusting, disgraceful, cretinous bullys.

Hate them both equally

Wow, I had to look it up to make sure but it really has been six months. That's crazy, thank God the story looks set to 'progress' now.

Good for JP and Maxine

I agree. I thought the acting was good, but it should have been a longer scene.

The acting was good though; having JP say he how feels about it for the first time since in really happened and him not being able to say it.

Joe is acting very suspicious around Fraser's murder.

Good acting from James there but they've made such a mess of this rape storyline that I'm struggling to care anymore.

I do feel sorry for JP but honestly, when he was talking about how he's been feeling 'dirty and ashamed for months', all I could think is WHY haven't we seen more of that onscreen then?
Up until recently he's been acting completely normal and you'd never have guessed that anything bad had even happened to him.

I also felt that the scenes between JP and Ste should have been longer but I hope we might get more tomorrow

The Maxine stuff was really good also.
I hope she finds the strength to leave Patrick for good but I know she'll just end up going back to him.

The scene with JP was good, very well acted but it should have been so much longer than that. They really could have put so much focus on this storyline but they completely sidelined it which was a huge shame. I guarantee that these scenes could have been so much more powerful if the storyline was handled better. Because we haven't seen enough of it, the scenes feel rather disjointed in a way.

I hope there's a better follow up tomorrow. I'm also glad Maxine is finally taking action! Good on her, but after seeing the six weeks of summer trailer, it's obvious that it won't last unfortunately. I really hope Patrick gets his comeuppance soon!

Yeah, if we saw this, I think the scene would have been more powerful. I think James did really well with what he had, but it would have had more impact if there was more of a set up to the scene. Actors should not have to carry storylines on their performances alone. The writing should have done more to establish how JP has been struggling and then there would be more of a convincing development into his talk with Ste.

I felt bad but I was thinking the exact same thing as I was watching that scene. I thought James Sutton gave a good performance but tbh JP has been acting perfectly fine for months so his sudden 'I've felt ashamed and dirty for months' confused me a little. I'm like, where have we seen that?

Maxine won't stick with her decision to leave Patrick, Six weeks of summer trailer shows her in ugly wedding dress. But will she go thru her wedding or say "no"?

I think so too. Is it certain that one of the three suspects remaining did murder Fraser. Joe said to Sandy tonight that it wasn't Freddie so if it wasn't Freddie and Sandy's just questioning Joe in this way to cover her tracks to take the heat off her, it's him.

But I didn't get the feeling he was about to tell Sandy that it was him, I think he was just about to say he was covering up for the person who did it - Lindsey.

My reason to think this :

1) She has previous (but I won't go there)
2) She's very nervous herself now that Trevor has been released and has made this known to Joe on more than one occasion.
3) When Joe was about to tell Sandy whatever it was the signpost that was put in was Lindsey walking through the door. It could have been Robbie, Jason, anybody else who lives in that house but it was her - maybe Joe couldn't tell Sandy but that doesn't mean we won't be left in suspense.

Just a theory ...

Seems that all happens in two weeks if we're to go by what Patrick said tonight though will it be put back after tonight's events?

I completely agree
James is a really good actor. Imagine how good this storyline could have been if the writing wasn't so terrible?
At the minute James is carrying the storyline with his acting but there's only so much he can do when the whole thing is so badly written.

Hopefully they'll be more JP/Ste stuff tomorrow and JP will open up a bit more. I'd like it if they discussed his time in prison (because he came out with a completely different outlook and the strength to stand up to Finn) but I doubt they'll ever bother to give us an explanation for that.

Didn't like the Sam/JP scene at all. What hope is there that JP will ever get justice when the local police have that attitude towards him?

I found this strange too however I sort of put it down to Maxine referring to the baby as a girl before knowing officially though I'd never seen her do that previously either so it appears there may have been an editing error.

Sam has become a despicable person, I think we can now officially say that she values her own personal life more than anything else. Yuck hate this part of the story.
Spoiler
Wouldn't mind if a car crash did kill her.

I thought that was a bit harsh as well, I know shes hurt about Danny and JP, but JP hasnt been in the wrong really, and has moved on from Danny to Ste, who he is a million times more suited too

I refer to all mice as He, so it could be she just decided to assume the baby was a girl, rather than saying it
