How to get to coronation street tour
travelling from Wolverhampton to
Manchester. Does anyone know how to get to ITV Studios Atherton Street Manchester M60 9EA By coach or by train. I have looked online and even went to my Local coach station (who said they would only be able to drop me off at Manchester coach station - how would I get to m60 9ea from here - would I have to get train / bus) Also went to my local train station who said they don't know how to get there but if I take the Manchester picadilly it will go to Manchester city centre, if this is try how would I get to the postcode from here. Would prefer if someone could kindly respond with directions from the coach station as thinking to go with this option as it is the cheapest. (Or would it work out cheaper if I got the train?) Thanks |

Thanks I'm going again on Monday by train. According to Google Maps it's about a 20 minute walk from the station to the tour. The nearest Metrolink is Deansgate and it's about a five minute walk from there. IF you do take the train look at splitting the tickets. Can sometimes work out cheaper that way... And if the train stops at the stations you've elected to "change" at AFAIK you can stay on that service. |

When are you thinking of going, out of interest?

I travelled by train to Piccadilly. Then just got another train to Deansgate, return ticket is a couple of quid and the journey is about 5 mins. The studios are about a 5/10 minute walk from there.

I got to Piccadilly by train. Then got a replacement bus service to one of the streets near the Corrie set as the trams were not working on the day I visited.

What time of day would you want to leave Wolverhampton and what time is your ticket booked for?

I got off at Manchester Oxford Road and followed the road around past the town hall and the Hilton and you'll eventually reach the Atherton St junction. It's around 15 minute walk.
