DTC seems to be adding more of a police presence to the show, bringing in some past characters as well as some newbies getting involved with regulars, Walford has it's own police station up the road would anyone like too see more aspect of this, most soap police are normally rubbish as it is or do you think once the Lucy's murder s/l is over it should be kept to a minimum?

I like Summerhayes and Keeble, so would like to see them sticking around. Now all we need is Marsden.

I think there should be characters who are police officers so they are around all the time - calling them in for a specific storyline isn't very realistic...

Well Charlie Cotton is apparently a police officer... Although i don't believe that really.

Maybe that'll finally be clarified when Keeble and Summerhayes don't recognise him.

That would be brilliant! I also find it hard to believe he is a police officer too - hope that gets explored a bit more!

I like Emma Summerhayes as a character not keen on her and Max but would love to see her as a regular character.

As for more police I don't see a problem with it, as long as it's not excessive say like River City or The Bill, but some of the characters brought it seems more intriguing then the regulars at the moment

Marsden is probably one of Phil's biggest nemesis and pains in the arse, wouldn't be a proper Phil storyline if she didn't arrest him or have some involvement.

Random officer, he arrived with the officer but it was never clarified if he was a police officer as she was in uniform he wasn't, still unsure if he actually is or not, hopefully the s/l will pick up soon.

I wish the Charlie story would hurry up and resolve itself, its been so long since he last had anything to do that I have almost forgotten he exists.

In one of the interviews regarding Lucy's death DTC did say the police officers would be getting their own storylines. He also said one of the officers would be replaced. As we know that was DS Holt and DS Keeble has now taken over. I'm so happy Alison Newman is back with EE. She was wasted during her very short stint last time so I hope they make good use of her now.

Me too, I get the feeling they're waiting for Ronnie to come back tho.

That's promising to hear,I'm quite surprise his putting more effort into them as normally the police are portrayed so poorly, I don't remember on her first stint but she seems decent characte.

You know he could well be, I think it be more of a surprise if he actually is as oppose to he isn't, his obviously going to have a big presence with Ronnie and Dot.

Not sure about afterwards but I'm glad they've dropped Keeble in. Beforehand it felt like the story had gone a bit flat.

I thought Keeble replaced DCI Irving. She is a DI now too according to the credits.
