Friend's BT Vision Box
I am not sure if I have posted this in the right forum but, A friend of mine had BT Vision (or YouView box) but he was not happy with the channels he was getting in his area, He could only get Freeview Lite and what he paid BT for, He was not happy with BT's customer service. He also wants to know since he no longer uses the box can he sell it on (I offered to take it off his hands and use it as a Freeview box with recording only) or would he have to return it back to BT? He went back to Sky as he was much more satisfied with the service and channels he gets. BT have not requested the box gets returned but he has kept it because he is not sure.

If you can make sense of the BT T&Cs it seems you may actually be buying the box as part of the sub.
https://www.productsandservices.bt.c...d%20Conditions See section 21 onwards. Though depending on when you cancel you may be charged for whatever is left of your subscription period. |

He did not break his contract with them and he paid them what he owed, I just want to know is the box legally his? Like what happens if You subscribe to Sky and after 12 months the box is yours to keep. I personally don't know because I have not used BT for years. It did not say on their T&C's weather the box remains their property and has to be returned after subscription ends
