What duties... apart from the mundane ones Carla ordered her to do... could she do for you...

She could be my PA any time...

Saucy Minx...

Sal will be more than welcome to be Uncle Q's PA if things don't work out with Carla the Dalek.

Her basic duties will include bathing me of a morning, towelling I dry, dressing me, before making me a large bacon & fried-egg sarnie.

Not that I strictly need any help with the aforementioned chores mind you, I'm just bloody lazy.

Then, after she's turned Germany Kyle on for me, she can type out my DS posts, with me dictating them whilst lying on the sofa, scratching my nether regions, and swigging from a can of Strongbow - which Sal will have fetched and opened for me.

After breaking for an hour for lunch, most of which I'll be spending on the pan with a newspaper naturally, the afternoon will commence with Sal doing a spot of serious DIY or gardening around my gaff, which obviously I'll be taking all the credit for doing when the missus gets in from work.

Sal will have to call me "Mr Quentin" of course, there'll be none of this "Unc" malarkey, and her wage will be gleaned from whatever the offy gives her for returning my empties, or indeed anything she can rescue from down the back of our sofa.
There's definitely a few half a crowns down there, and maybe the odd drachma.

Uncle Q sounds like the best employer ever. I bet Sally is hunting for his..... erm, I mean head-hunting him as we speak.

Yeah right Unky Q. Like Sally would let you drink out of a can and let the drink on the coffee table without a coaster or a doily or two

I can visualise Sal needing industrial standard stain remover and a clump hammer tackling a certain posters Y fronts.

How many times have we been down this route before with Sally as "PA" talking down to her workmates and getting ideas above her station. Its geting pretty old now. The whole factory is stuck in a ridiculous time warp. All these "big" clients coming out of nowhere with just a phone call saving this place for the millionth time with a massive order that in the real world they would take to the far cheaper and more efficient Far East instead of using a backstreet tinpot outfit with a handful of feckless lazy moaning staff.

Don't forget the many times that factory will face closure and only one client will be able to save it all, however something goes bad down at the meeting like yet another confrontation between Carla and someone in her personal life. Cue sending the staff home, who head straight to the Rovers and whilst throwing money away worry about not having a job. But don't worry, by the end of the episode Carla will convince the client to give her another chance, and she will get the order.

I mean come on, did anyone really feel any worry when Carla had messed up with that client in the aftermath of Tina's death and the factory had to be shut down. It was so obvious it would reopen and all was forgotten.
