Best DVD with HDD
Bulletguy1
17-07-2014
Posted on this a few months back but can't find the thread now!

Need a reliable DVD player. Must be capable of playing/recording all disc formats including blank media plus a HDD of 250gb (bigger would be a plus but not an essential).

Don't mind used or 'factory recon/refurbished' as long as it's in decent nick but reliability is paramount.

Which brand and model to go for?

Isn't Panasonic the only major manufacturer making them still? - DVD recorders are pretty well obsolete

Eh up Nigel.......i think you posted on the thread i can't find as i seem to remember you know a fair bit on the electronics side?

Main reason i want one is though i've got a PVR, i've still got a fair amount of DVD's which i want to keep. Pretty much in the same way as i've still got loads of LP's which i will never part with!

What model Panasonic would be best to go for and are they reliable?

If you have loads of DVDs then why don't you get a blu-ray player instead or even just a DVD player? It will play DVDs better than a DVD recorder anyway and you have the PVR for time shifting.

We don't sell Panasonic, so I can't advice - but Panasonic are usually pretty good.
