Do Housemates Get Paid While They're In The House?
TheLastPlayboy

Or get compensated for earnings they would have lost by going in?

I know the winner gets £100,000 but what about all of the others?

Yes they get a per diem allowance.

For the actors in the house its probably the longest they've ever been in steady employment.

There's been a daily allowance since day 1.

Luke of Webecca fame used to calculate his every day - it was £30 a day then.

Minimum wage would be £1060 a week for 24/7.

Yeah. If the 'role' is considered as akin to a job, I don't see how they could avoid paying them a 24/7 wage, since those are the hours that they're on the job, even being filmed during sleeping hours.

Do the BB cams count as webcams for Danielle if they're viewed on youtube? Can she claim business expenses?

And that's not including BBBOTS appearances. As a guest on a panel, you're entering territory where there are union-required minimums if the production team are union members (which they will be) even if the housemates aren't.

I think Stephen thought he'd get fireworks. (His firework display turned into a damp squid however...and it's all Chris's fault of course.)

Mark of course wouldn't touch a firework in case it singed his eyebrow, (although he had a few up his rear in the house), Helen's swallowed all hers but they keep coming out of her mouth. Kim's never lit up and Winston had little bangers in his hair. Chris keeps his in his cheeks, but is too scared to light them. Christopher doesn't believe in fireworks he thinks the whole idea is nonsense and Ashleigh keeps red sparklers in her eyes. Pav, I suspect might have a few under his turban to let off in case he's announced the winner as 'planned', (as I can't see where else they can be) and Ash relies on Helen's because he can't be ar**d to pick up his own.
