What features are you looking for that you do not get with the supplied Homehub?

I'm trying to connect to my BT hub which is in another room without success after entering the password. Which is why I wondered if I needed a router connected to the Humax.
Thanks for your reply. |

Definitely no router required. If the wireless isn't working (it sounds like you are using wireless from your post) then it could be a signal problem but we would need more details. It may be easier and more reliable to connect using home plugs.

More info requied please.
Model of Humax, if not the HDR-1010S what are you using on it - the Humax dongle or another brand. Does you password containing spaces or special character or is it very long? |

The model is a Humax HDR-1010S1TB with Freetime. It does pick up the correct BT Hub and asks for the password which I have entered with the correct lower and upper letters and no spaces.
After searching it indicates there is a problem. Thanks for all the replies. |

Success ! Thanks for all the help.
I've solved the problem by moving the BT Hub away from the computer tower which may have been affecting the signal and it now works a treat. Many thanks for all your replies. |
