At first I liked Mark -- especially when he had the courage and integrity to stand up to Ash when he called Jale a slug -- but recently we've seen a much nastier, more calculating side to him. According to BBBOTS last night, he's been planning his strategy on BB for years.

Yes, Winston is nice looking, but that's it. He brings nothing to the house. He's a typical lad: laughing at other's misfortune and discomfort.

My current favourite is Christopher. Open, honest, entirely without malice.

I've also changed my views on Ash and Helen. I was foaming at the mouth for Ash to be evicted and had a hissy fit when he wasn't, but now that we've seen more of him, I like him. And I like Helen, too. I think she's had a hard life. She's brassy and out-spoken, but at least you know where you stand with her. I don't think she's malicious. Just very defensive.

I happy to believe Danielle is a virgin. I also think she's a massive, massive hypocrite.

Steven is overwhelmed by insecurity and represents a lot of what is bad about (some) young people today. He's a narcissist and a liar and a manipulator and I think he'll bitterly regret being on the show.

I don't get Kim at all. I don't really buy conspiracy theories about the producers and I don't think it's possible to put on a persona and play a game for an entire series. There must be something she sees in Steven. But something's happened in her life to make her as emotionally closed as she is. It's bizarre.

I'm not sure I care about any of the others. The new one has a lovely singing voice.

I'm really thinking about the public at large. Mark is the favourite to win with the bookmakers, with Winston second. I genuinely don't get it.

They're inoffensive and easily identifiable. Stock characters if you like.

They're ok I guess, but both have been picked as the Winner Apparent and Producers favourites.

I personally don't see it, Winston is a "hunk" & fun ???
His sense of humour is rather childish and he has too much muscle and not enough brains.

Mark is a TV reality addict, he's fame hungry.
He doesn't really entertain me and pretending to be thick is all an act. Mark is a total fake.

Foregone conclusion either of these two HMs will win this year, which is rather sad.

I think Mark is loved simply because viewers are impressed with his knowledge of eyebrow fashion (even if the beauty therapist effectively told him the Scouse look was passé).

For me Mark is a bit of light relief in a house so full of tantrums and moans.

Mark moans but he is so over the top, he is funny.

Mark is a typical winner. He's playing up the simple lad act along with some camp screeching and well thought out quirks - the eyebrows and "psychic ability". He's about as close to a professional reality contestant as you can get.

Winston is thick (oh how we laugh) and muscular. Personally I don't find his slack-jawed gurning remotely attractive but some girls (and guys) will do. The crudity appeals to "lads" and the childlike behaviour makes women want to look after him and excuse his behaviour as he's just simple and innocent.

I find Winston probably the most uninteresting as there is no depth to him at all. While Mark is a perfect example of someone who speaks alot but says very little.

Would put them near the bottom of my housemate preference list, only above Helen, Steven and Biannca.

I agree with you, I cannot stand Mark, after Danielle I think that he is the 2nd biggest fake on BB this year. I am not a big fan of Winston either, he is just a big dawk.

I don't really like any of the housemates that much and I think that if Zoe stays she could win this year. Big shock there!

I don't. Mark's one of my least favourites. I'm indifferent towards Winston - he's nice, he sticks up for people but he plays the idiot a lot.

That being said, I think Mark has a higher chance of winning than Winston.
