Oh Dear, is Karina leaving as well
![]() ![]() https://www.facebook.com/permalink.p...43312095711542 Karina Smirnoff October 1 at 1:09pm · Thank you all so much for your love and support this season. Although it was short lived, I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to meet a friend for life in Randy "The Natural" Couture and dance for all of you. I've always said that the most wonderful part of this show is the incredible fans/supporters who I get to interact with and share the journey with as well as the bonds I've been blessed to make. It is incredible that a film like Across Grace Alley was birthed out of the relationship Ralph Macchio and I formed while on #DWTS. Not to mention the other amazing people who worked tirelessly to make this film happen like my manager who raised the capital and helped develop my character to many of Ralph's longtime "industry" friends who brought this story beautifully to life on screen. It is incredible all of this started with us meeting on Dancing with the Stars. I've also remained close to the majority of my previous partners and cheer them on and support them. People like Jacoby Jones, JR Martinez and Corbin Bleu have become my extended family. I say all of this to say how truly grateful I am to have had these experiences, to have met these inspiring people - including many of you and to be reminded that life is short. We are never guaranteed tomorrow but we have right now. The road is not easy but my hope is we can all look back on the journey and be thankful for it. Without the adversity and disappointment or the successes and times of triumph; we wouldn't truly appreciate what we have accomplished and more important who we were blessed to meet along the way. I am humbled by your love, support and encouragement and hope you all know that whatever I do, wherever I am led, you all are a part of me and my motivation. I pray that today we can all follow our hearts, believe that the future is bright and push forward being present and thankful despite the unknown. Love you all! Excited that you can all now see Across Grace Alley by downloading it at www.acrossgracealley.com Xo K This letter seems like an Adieu for me ![]() I am going to miss her if thats the case; Cheryl leaving and now this ?I cant even imagine this show without Mark & Derek ![]() !!! |

Jonathan had no samba bounce whatsover.
He literally stood on a spot for a couple of seconds while Allison was twirling around him; The little samba content that was there, wasnt good. Im sorry but Allison is not right for this show . I think that he could have actually done better with another pro. The judges were implicitly telling Allison in the Critiques that there wasn't actual Good Samba content in the dance. |

Derek and Bethany rumba wasn't actually a proper rumba IMO but Im 100% sure that Derek knows it. Knowing Derek, I know that he did it on purpose because his priority here was showing Bethany's vulnerability; A LOT of people including his own fans complained that they couldn't connect with her even though they wanted to like her but Tonight I think their perception of her will change
![]() I really connected her with her for the first time tonight; I saw her vulnerability....so yeah well done on that dance....Derek is a clever, clever guy; He knows what it takes to go far/WIN. Yes he knew that the judges were going to mark them down for the lack of content but he wanted to tell her story; win the public votes and he achieved that; Despite 3 8s and a 9, from the public, their future in the competition looks bright .

Last comment of the night.....I just LOOOOOOOOOOVE watching Sadie performs; When her and Mark dance I watch HER MOST of the time which is a feat in itself because (I love Mark BUT ) he tends to overdance his partners. He doesnt do it as much recently though...I cant stop watching their samba tonight lol; The concept, the choreography and the execution of steps....AMAZING !!! One of my favorite SAMBAs in this show without a doubt
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOC96iXA894 Her Charisma is just.....WOW; Such great stage presence ; It just comes so naturally to her and it always looks like she is having a great time ![]() That was my favorite performance of the night... ![]()

How on earth did Bethany get eights for a Rumba which had not only no Rumba content in it, but very little actual dancing and consisted of her just standing there looking at a screen for fifteen-twenty seconds?
I mean, I do like them both, but come on, Derek... And Sadie's routine, though danced well, was very strange and a little awkward to watch, especially when Mark 'chomped' on Sadie near the end. Definitely not a 10, if you ask me. Alfonso absolutely killed it, though. And Lea and Janel both did very enjoyable routines, too. Sad Betsey's gone, too - would've much preferred Michael to have left instead. Yay, the Switch-Up's back... I hope you can detect my overwhelming joy.

I'm not surprised Betsey is out, she was never going to be in for long, but after the disaster on week 1, I really wanted to see her have one good week where everything went well before she was out, and she's managed to achieve that, so I'm happy. |

I agree that Michael needs to go but, like others have said, I really wanted him to last until the switch-up, so that just once we can see what Emma can do with a celeb like Alfonso or Jonathan - although I have a feeling she'll actually end up with Tommy or Antonio.

At least this way the switched pro can't be blamed for anything! I really hope things are not too predictable - that Emma gets someone younger and we don't get a Derek-Mark switch. |

PureDwtS have been looking at twitter and predict:
Lea - Derek Sadie - Val Bethany - Mark Janel - Artem Tommy - Witney Antonio - Emma Alfonso - Cheryl Michael - Allison Jonathan - Peta Seems that fans are not that motivated to vote for the female pro switch, so anyone with twitter might be able to influence the outcome for Emma - though Cheryl's combo with Alfonso might be too much to overturn. |

Sometimes (especially on SCD) 'voting with heart' keeps celebs in past the ideal time to leave so, whilst I'd rather have lost Michael, I'm not upset at Betsey going. I thought she was a delight and, like you, I'm really chuffed she had a couple of dances to be proud of. Think it's better to be missed than to have people tire of you

Loved Sadie's samba. The performance was FIERCE <333
Connected with Lea's story the most. Really made me tear up TBH lol The performance was not a 10 though. Antonio needs to go for me. I just forget he is on the show each week. Michael / Jonathan / Tommy at least add something memorable. Also anyone else think Jonathan's partner is not a good dance teacher. Jury still out for me but would have been interesting to see Jonathan with Cheryl etc. The switch up should be more insightful. |

Yes I blubbed a bit too, Lea's dance was really good, no not worthy of a 10 though. Alison was very poor dancing with Jonathan this week, she was all over the place with the choreography. She is hampering him, if she can't teach ballroom and latin. Yes, I await to see, if the likes of Cheryl can do any better at teaching Jonathan technique. |

Derek knew exactly what he was doing just read his blog. fantastic concept rubbish rumba and 8 really? Agreed with Julianne's comments not her score
Loved Sadie and Mark's samba could have used a bit more bounced but finally mark got the balance right instead of his not so Viennese Viennese waltz Artem and Lea's contemporary was beautiful but 10s???? Alfonso and Witney loved this but hate jazz on dwts because it just a free for all with no structure Tommy always give 100 % and for his age he did a good job for a jive as i think the jive would be his hardest jive due to it being so energetic but not as good as his other dances Michael - next please glad Emma in for the switch up tho Antonio and Cheryl can't remember what they did says it all doesn't it? Janel and Val oops forgot about them forgot about what they did nearly wrote Artem instead of Val there ![]() forgettable samey boring routine more slowed down Whitney (see start of Danica's cha cha) expected better especially as they are 'supposed' to have chemistry ![]() didnt see it. Val is usually one of my favourite but this year I'm just not impressedBetsy deserved to stay longer than Michael and forgettable hardly moving Antonio but was going to go soon early. Wish Antonio left to see Emma with Alfonso instead of Antonio. Jonathan had so much potential but has no chance with Allison. It may be her first time as pro and she is learning but it is his only chance and I don't think fair on her or him to have a contemporary dancer teaching something she can't & she couldn't dance the samba was it samba they were doing I have no idea all their dances look the same |

From Mark's blog :
http://hollywoodlife.com/2014/10/07/...dynasty-samba/ The performance felt amazing. It was the first time that we felt like one person moving as a unit. From the second I looked at her on the stage, I knew she was ready to go. When we touched hands for the first time, I knew it would be one of those performances where I wouldn’t have to think, and I could just treat it as almost an out-of-body experience. It was pretty cool having a beard for the first time in my life even though it was super itchy. But maybe at some point when I’m older I might grow one! Tonight has been my favorite night of the season. I’ve got to say, that out of all of the pieces I’ve done in my 15 seasons on the show, this is one of my top three. Incredible night, and so proud of Sadie! Until next week, Mark Ballas BIB Highest praise if I have ever seen one ![]() ![]() Their Samba (Mark and Sadie ) is now my favorite Samba EVER done by a celebrity Female on DWTS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evbAfFaQYHM ;TIED WITH Maks and Mel B Samba in season 5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBYPHsr7T_8 Julianne Hough and Apolo Samba in Season 4 STILL remains my favorite Samba EVER done by a MALE celebrity. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsMZ77TX0C4 PS : I NEEDDDDD Julianne's Outfit !!! ; She looked WOW ![]() !!!

I'm confusing myself about this switch! Think the voting must have closed after the show on Monday and they're already training with their new partners. They dance with them this coming Monday, don't they?
